New Linx Quiver w/pics
« on: January 07, 2008, 10:38:00 PM »
I got my Linx quiver in the mail today. It looks great on my Kanati!

The Linx angles the arrows back so that they are parallel with the bottom limb of my bow...more out of the way when walking through brush.

The adjustable bar adds some weight, but the Kanati is so light to begin with, I don't mind a bit more mass. It should keep everything sitting in the right place.

I just wish we had some more season here.    :(

BTW: The folks at Thunderhorn Archery are great to deal with!
Kanati 58" 44# @ 28" Green glass on a green riser
Bear Kodiak Magnum 52" 45# @ 28"
Bodnik Slick Stick longbow 58" 40# @ 28"
Bodnik Kiowa 52" 45# @ 28"
Kanati 58" 46# @ 28" R.I.P (2007-2015)
Self-made Silk backed Hickory Board bow 67" 49# @ 28"
Bear Black Bear 60" 45# @28"

That is nice how they angle back like that!

Very nice indeed!

Hey Jason

Don't know if you got my email but the bow you sent me looks great.  Shot a 52 the other day in the tourney that I still have to post.

Sorry Jason, but as I recall the Linx was your idea.   ;)  You'll love it!

Gumby,

I ordered direct from Thunderhorn Manufacturing.
http://www.thunderhornmfg.com/  I called in my order and had the quiver in less than a week and a half, which was how long she told me it would be. They will dye the hood to compliment your bow. I told them what bow I had and the color I wanted. When I got the quiver it was exactly the color I wanted!

Kawika,

I don't know the exact weight, maybe a tad heavier than my Boa. It was a six arrow and this is a five, but I usually carried five anyway. I shoot fairly heavy arrows for my 46 pound bow (540-550 grains), so that is probably more of a factor than the quiver. While I love the light weight of the Kanati, I have to admit, I shoot better with the added mass of the quiver. Sorry I can't be any more precise, but I must say the weight is just about right for the bow.

I have been shooting one on my Morrison Shawnee for almost a year and I love the way it balances on the bow and keeps the arrows back, more out of the way.

Is that the Small Fry or the Boa hood?  What are its dimensions?  Thanks.

It's basically the BOA with a bar connecting the hood to the arrow gripper making it a one piece. It is set up for 5 arrows and the dimensions vary as the quiver is custom made to fit your bow by Thunderhorn.

Did some shooting with it on today-very quiet. I'm a barebow/no quiver shooter and got the Linx to take off in the blind or stand as I don't like the back or side quiver's. However, I found that my groups did tighten with the quiver on the bow, so I may have to keep it there. My old quiver was a Great Northern but I shot worse with that on the bow. Still to early to tell for sure but if I keep shooting tight groups then the quiver stays on

After reading some of these posts I ordered one yesterday. I got the small fry two piece that goes under the limb bolts. I even went all out and got the snakeskin inserts and brackets. Sure looks good in the pics and I hope it works as good as it looks.
