S.E. Iowa Bunny Hunt 2008
« on: January 08, 2008, 12:40:00 PM »
Is it being planned?  If so, I want in!  Missed it last year and it looked like a lot of fun.

Saturdays are hard for me with my sons' high school wrestling schedule (Iowa and wrestling -- gotta love it!), so I may have to miss it again.  But it'd be a shame not to get this going again!

I`m in. Might be a little early yet. The Jan. antlerless season runs from the 11th to the 27th. Also don`t forget Jan 10th Iowa hunting license expires.

Sounds like fun, but I can't justify $100 to hunt bunnies for one weekend. Too bad IA doesn't have a 3 or 5 day license available.

Seem to be a good population of rabbits around this year, Shaun.
Off the topic, but since you all are here, if anyone is interested in snagging some spoonbill, I got the gear and a boat.  We always have a good time and have always caught fish.  Shoot me a PM if interested.  Maybe make it a stumping and snagging day.

I love spoonbills and their hide can be used for self bow backing. Lefty, save me a couple of 2" wide strips as long as you can manage or a whole hide off a bigun. Just freeze and I'll work out a pick up.

I will be on the road in Feb for UBM banquet and then on down to Texas. Also, the last weekend of Jan gone to Kazoo show. Let me know if a rabbit hunt breaks out sooner or at the end of Feb.

I'm interested too, if for no other reason than to meet a few area trad gangers.  I work a six on three off schedule, so my days off are always changing.  I'll have to see, when a date is made.  Sounds like it should be a good time, rabbits or no.
