the new 'Sipsey Stick' LB***WOW***

I just got a new Sipsey Stick R/D longbow in the mail early this morning and have been shooting it ever since. WOW what a shooter. This bow is VERY well designed and VERY well crafted. It has no handshock, no stack, very quiet and pretty darn quick. It is a 58" model and 45#s @ 28"s. I've been shooting my 450 grain Gold Tip 33/55's and they are flying great. The bow seems to like a high brace height (maybe due to the forward riser) but that's okay by me. I've owned and shot SEVERAL R/D longbows and this new Sipsey Stick will hold it's own with any of them.
If you're thinking about a new R/D hybred longbow you'd be wise to give John at Sipsey River Traditional Archery a call. These bows won't break the bank and you won't be waiting months on end for it to arrive.

I'm with Vermonster on this one. Heresy!! Or did he say Hearsay? Whatever, same thing in my book. This is your one free transgression of the Man Law. Next time, no teasing about a new bow with no pics for you my friend! LOL! You know how sick we are about looking at bows, teasing is just cruel.
Congrats on the bow, I've been thinking about one of those myself, when I figure out how to pay for the bow I have on order now of course!

The people at SRTA are good people. I'd like to take a gander at the Sipsey Stick and admire their work.

not sure Mike! give John a shout and he'll fill you in on all the options available. I know this 58"er is a sweet drawing bow.

well Mark#78! this bow is a blast to shoot. I really enjoy shooting a bow that's dead in the hand, quiet and quick like this one. I'm not a world class shot by any means but this bow hits where I look. A little tinkering with nock position and brace height and I was putting the arrows in the 10 ring on my 3-D target pretty easy. I have some friends (Larry247 for one) that are SUPER good shots so I'm anxious to see them fling a few with this Sipsey Stick.

The bow Danny has is one of the Sipsey Stick Prototypes.
The final version has been named the Banshee and has very slight change in fadout section of the limb design. While they have been designed as a short bow, 54-60", longer lengths will be available.
