homemade small game head
« on: January 09, 2008, 08:13:00 PM »
was messing around with dremmel last night and made this head. Slotted the end of glue-on field point w/dremmel and cut the broadhead out of a carpet knife blade, epoxied in with 2 ton epoxy. The finished head weighs 187 gr. w/adapter,is 5/8 in. wide and shoots like a dart.
I put a edge on sides of head w/dremmel then put sharp edge w/accu-sharp. The point is the sharp edge off carpet knife blade...it penetrates like crazy, at 15 yds. it shoots through my pig target with my 61@29 Wes Wallace pulling about 57#...should be killer for squirrels, fox, coyotes, bunnies and squirrels.
