Hey dragonheart.  Did you post photos of your daughter with that bow before?  I'll bet that bow shoots those spruce arrows real nice.

Love to see kids involved in archery, especially girls.  I'm so glad my girlfriend enjoys shooting the longbow.  Such a great sport for young kids.  As you guys know you need a lot of patience and discipline if you want to get good at this archery thing.

Wonderful photo Dragonheart!

I have my first child on the way.... When my wife broke the news to me my first thought was "hunting buddy!!!" I'm already looking at youth bows.

We had a blast watching all of the birds and shooting longbows.  We found a ton of tracks along a fence-line.  Howard Hill Cub has been a great longbow for her.  It is yew and cocabolo handle.  Her former bow was a tradgang gift to her.  That longbow is now passed on to her younger sister that is 3.  She has a great attitude about shooting and she gets on to me when I take it too serious.  I have posted photos before, and she is more excited about being out hunting.  Congrats to you nineworlds9, and Blaino on the coming new little archers!    :)

Ok, like I said, I'm trying to trade one of my bow for a Hill Style bow, I draw 30", with my 68" R/D longbow, ANd was wondering which length should I get? I was thinking at least 69"... What do you think? I have one interested in the trade but he has only 68" bows?!?!?

Thank you for your help.
Cheers
David

Dave,I draw 27-1/2".my RD bows are 66,with Hills I like 68" better, thats just me,I'd go at least 68 at your draw,I think 70 would be better.

Dave I have a 29" draw on a straight grip Hill and have shot 66", 68" and 70". though it is a personal preference on the Hill bows I found the 70" the most comfortable all around

Mike, that is what I thought!!  I know it is a matter of preferences, but I'm sure 70" would be better... But harder to come by!
Thank you

I pull my 69" Schulz to 30.75 inches regularly. If you really want to try a Hill, I would give the 68" a shot. If you don't like it, you can sell it or trade it off pretty easily unless it is a super light or heavy weight.

I only shoot 68" Hill bows, that length fits me perfectly.
