Overspined-

Nate also has been using carmelized bamboo in his bows foe a long time.

Your really going to like the carmelized bamboo; are you using clear glass?

Matt, two or three of the bows you looked at this weekend had the amber bamboo in them. It really looks nice under clear glass or when used with solid color glass. I will often use it as part of the overall look in my bows, giving the edge of the limb something to do besides look white if using the natural colored boo.
Nice to see you agin at the show. Thanks for stopping by,

Good looking quiver Bud, Saturday I'm making my first quiver via those instructions.

I gotta have something presentable to put my arrows in for the hog hunt next month!

The best HH style bow that I've owned in my opinion was a Half Breed....  My D*ss sold it and it seems unlikely that it will return to me...so goes my HH woes.....

Hey Chuck, I am preferential to that darker edge.  I like the look and think it may be less obvious to game.  I was really impressed with your bows, wow are they good lookin and feel great to shoot.  The finish is top notch. I'm glad you pursued designing your Hill style bow, nice work.  It kind of rounds out the designs you offer in my opinion. You should post a pic of the features you incorporated. Thin, with tiny tips, slight SF, and a pleasure to shoot. All your bows at the show just screamed traditional.  I'm really starting to like the solid glass bows more and more, esp with the dark back and white belly.

I had the opportunity to shoot a couple of Chuck's (Two Tracks)Hill style bows at the K-zoo Expo. I would say that I have never shot a smoother bow. Very little hand shock or stack. I was very impressed with the workmanship and finish of his bows. I think the Echo is going to be a winner for you, Chuck.

Yeah craig did a number on that one for sure. I thought that was the one you were talking about. It shot nicer than my tembo, but not quite as smooth. I think it was right up there with my Schulz that I have now (re-worked by Nate). I never would have sold it except I had to switch to lefty.

Kyle,

In a fit of stupidity, I sold her to a TGr in Texas.  All I know is she's a long ways from Texas now.

I owned a lefty Schulz too and she was really sweet, but too heavy for me on that side.  60#s at 28".

I've got to quit looking at these HH posts  :)  LOL!
Have a nice day!

Bud, thanks for the quiver info and pics.  I checked out Rob's writeup and that looks like a great start.  I wish I had seen that before I started my last quiver, would've help lay things out a little smarter.

I think my big problem is the strap placement on the quiver body.  It's too low, putting the quiver too high, and with full-length arrows, the nocks are above my head.  I end up having to take it off if I need to go squirreling through the brush after lost arrows.  I suppose I could keep the quiver as-is and stop missing.  That's an idea!

I'll post some pics tonight if I have a moment.

Anyone know of a good repository of back quiver pics?  Be nice to see them worn, instead of on the ground, looking pretty next to a bow.

If Dave Mitchell reads this I'll bet he can provide some pics. He did a good article a while back in TBM I think....

Dave??

Also...do a search in the Pow Wow of the words "back quiver" and see what pops up.

I bought it off the classifieds from a guy up around York, Pa last summer.  I thought I saw another on here a while back with different specs?  Mine is 64" marked 55@29

Tried to use this threads internal search without success.  I am interested in a brief statement as to the advantages of the flatbow and who are some good bowers.  Thank you

Stealth man.  A hill bow is not a flat bow.  It is a deep cored narrow bow.  As far as the advantages go once you have learned it they are forgiving to shoot and are a real blast.
