Knaw,
Yep, red elm all the way thru. It shoots absolutely fantastic. The reverse handle has a very unique feel and balance to it. She is also surprisingly quick, dead in the and and quiet as a mouse. I was a little hesitant at first getting a reverse handle but it is well well worth it.

Nice looking bow Brian, I'm not sure I could get used to the look of the reverse handle but would love to try one some day.

Sounds good Brian.

I picked up a new to me Tim Meigs Hill style from Fletcher on here that I need to take some pics of and post.  It's an old warrior, far from the prettiest, but a real nice shooter.  More than likely going to be my main hunting bow this year.

Shed some length if you can (at least 1/4") and also lower brace about 4 twists and see what happens.

Trim back some arrow length (quarter to a half inch should do if you were getting good arrow flight with the 135 gr heads).

3feathers, Just for a comparison, I shoot a 28" ceder arrow with 160 grn heads 55-60 spine out of my 53# @ 26 Wesley. The bow is marked 52#@ 26 and I draw 25 1/2" with this bow. By my scale I'm drawing 53 or 54 lbs. and getting excellent flight with this set up.Maybe it has something to do with my form, but I tend to shoot arrows a little on the stiff side rather than weak. From my experience, I would say your arrow is under spined by 5 to 10 lbs.for a 160 grn head.JM2C

Question, What do call it when some one shoots two turkey threw the head?

               answer: A double header!

What are we going to call Nick if he shoots another Gobbler threw the head?

               answer:???????

        A)    Two Time Nick
        B)     Double Header Nick
        C)    Dead Eye Nick

Best of luck on your second bird Dead Eye Nick.

Knawbones arrow setup is very similar to mine. I'm shooting about 57 lbs and use a 27.5 inch 55-60 with 160gr head.

Would going from 135gn.to 165rn. make that much differance in spine???I do alot of stump shooting and really don,t see the bad flight. When I tested out some broadheads in a target at 15yds the results were yuck!!!!!!!!Going to try trimming the arrows down to stiffen them up a bit.
