Nice Mike! I really envy you guys that have hog hunting available, I loved my time chasing them on the Hill Hunt last winter.

Can anyone provide any background on the Red Hawk model?  From the pics I received, it looks like a Half Breed w/boo core & Yew outer lams.  Name is Red Hawk and the serial # starts with RHC.  I've scoured HHA, TG, and a couple of other sites including Capt Dick's, but no luck on this model.
Thanks....Rob

I was at the Ski Sawmill Traditional Shoot today and a vender, Jet Archery, was set up.  Joel Templin is the bowyer and he makes a really beautiful Hill style longbow with maso bamboo and/or yew.  His bows were stunning to look at and he said he had training from John Schulz.  I had never heard of him before and should have shot one to find out what they were like, but my kids were bugging to get some lunch.  Anybody have any experience with them?

I would keep looking if it were me.  I tried his longbow at Baltimore (then he was calling it Legacy Longbows).

He does make a pretty bow. I saw them at Sawmill but didn't get a chance to shoot them. I did walk away from the swap meet with a beautiful 70" Zebra Grevy,58@28(53 at my draw), though. This old girl is screaming for wood arrows but I have no idea what to get...55-60#?

Some fun to liven up the thread.

Shooting my JD Berrr Morningstar with my tuned arrows ( I said that because of my new found knowledge on actually learning how to tune)
All kidding aside , it was a blast.

Sorry for the blur in the one video. My high tech phone holder was a bubble bottle I ran over with the lawnmower.

Brian,  where do you brace the morning star? I have a whisper by Northern Mist and I long string mine to a brace of about 7".  Steve told me "it's perfect" when I asked him for a longer string, it was braced about 8" with it set up how he had it.  I am not sure what I would gain by the higher brace, shoots great for me at 7".

Oh, I did the ramp shot where you build a ramp in front of the target and deflect into the baloon. It's neat as all get out. I'm gonna try to post a vid of it this week. Getting too late and starting to rain today.

Matt, I brace mine at 6 1/2".  I tried 6" and didn't like it. All my berry bows are at 6 1/2" though

Anybody know about this style of bow from Craig? It is a string follow with glass on back only and labeled Ol' Timer. It is a very smooth shooter.
