I've got a New Vixen listed f/s , I have a little wiggle room the on price, but not too much. Just giving the Hill gang a heads up if any ones interested.

Very nice! I have a 70" Grevy, 58@28, that I picked up earlier this month and it's quickly becoming my favorite bow

That's a nice Zebra, Jim. Looks like the same riser and limb core materials as mine. Your's appears to have brown glass.

I've found I can shoot this 69 inch longbow more accurately, than most of the shorter longbows I've shot in the past.

Thanks, Shick. I hope to get a lot of enjoyment out of it. Maybe even kill a critter or two.

Thanks, Lambow. It does have brown glass and other than the stained grip, the bow is near mint. This is the longest bow I've ever shot let alone owned and I just can't put it down. This thing just flat out shoots!

Really nice bow Jim, thanks for the pics. Grevys are hard to come by because those who have them rarely let them go for good reason.

Aaron -
Nice bow on order. The thing about Craig is that you won't have long to wait. Bet it will arrive before September 1st.

Here is my newly aquired Schulz made Redman:

Cool to compare both the Redman and the Tembo.  I wonder how many years apart they were made?  The yew is a little wider at the fades and has skinnier tips with no wedge. The Tembo has a narrower limb that does not taper as much from the back. You can really tell the mass difference with the yew.

So, I've made my first Hill style bow (and first glass bow.) Cherry and black locust core lams.  String follow, 44@28.  66", but draws smooth out to almost 30" due to a shorter riser more like Nate used to talk about.  Almost no thump, I'm in love.  Was very hard to let go at the post office this afternoon.  Not sure how I lucked out on this one, but I took lots of measurements so I can try to duplicate.  I have some yew and black glass that I plan to make for myself...

I couldn't resist and had to shoot it through the chrono at the club.  174 ft/s at 10 gpp.  I'm thinking that's decent for this poundage and string follow.  Passed around during Sunday's shoot and the comments generally fell into two columns: (1) how much do you charge? and (2) you really need to put a nocking point on this string.

Thanks to everyone on this thread for keeping this bug going strong.  Maybe later I'll post about my experience on Saturday shooting with a compound guy....
