If it is verawood, it looks extremely close to the chichen in my Wesley Spec. riser.

7 Lakes, excellent pic of chechen.  Looks just like what's in my Hill riser.  There you go Tony.

Ok guys, sorry for the delay but yesterday was pretty hectic! Managed to pick up that long tube from the post office, and at least drool over the contents for a little while before heading back to work. Inside was "EL Tigre" and A BIG SURPRISE!!!

First here's a couple of pics of "EL Tigre" for ya...what a beauty. The draw is soooo smooth it's unbelievable! Brown glass back over tempered bamboo with the natural boo belly, and a really nice Myrtle riser, 65" and 56@27.

Ken ... just beautiful mate . He really does build a nice bit of gear does Mr Nate . I'm slightly jealous and will have to order a new bow to sooth my woes .....

Looking foward to pics of you and the bow afield .

I leave for New zealand tomorrow hunting deer and turkey and am taking my t/d Hill plus my Robin Hood #13 ... but your pics make me want to take my Miller .

I jus may have to take up Nate on his offer of a non camo , back quiver stump shoot one day .

And now for the surprise! Can yew say B'Yew'T! Say hello to "Lionheart".

66"s of beautiful Yew, brown glass back and belly, and a gorgeous Myrtle riser, 57@27. I wasn't expecting this masterpiece until late in the year, but Nate snuck it in on me and almost gave me a heart attack when I unwrapped it! I'll get some more pics and put them and my shooting impressions in a dedicated thread over the next couple of days...once I get my pulse rate under control that is!     :biglaugh:

Spanky...a surprise you say...I looked at the first pic and shuddered.  Then posted a comment.  Went back to the thread and saw that b-YEW-t and nearly fell off my chair!

Congrats!!  You made my day.

Kudos to the bowyer!

Spanky-

Both bows are absolutley beautiful, and the Myrtle is stunning.

What type of Myrtle is that on the Yew bow?

Thanks Darren! That is just a realy nice dark section of a figured block of Myrtle that Nate bought a while back. Actually, Nate told me that both of these riser blocks were side-by-side in the big block. I think he made a great choice!

Nice looking myrtle, I have a lefty Pete George in that same color scheme. It shoots as fast and smooth as my Schulz, there is just something about yew and myrtle that works.  I hope to get a turkey with my clear glassed yew/myrtle this year.

Oh ok, well maybe it's verawood. I was just going on what Bob told me, like I said...had not seen either.

OOOPPPSSS!!!  I've been drooling over Sunset Hill bows and thinking they were from another bowyer.

Sorry!! It means I have to talk to another one too I guess...lol

Anybody have too many... flowers in their yard?

Nope!

According to the flower expert I know, you can't have too many so I am sure it's got to be the same with bows...lol
