George,

That's a good question. Do you have an direction, since you are the organizer of this shindig, on alchoholic beverages or lack thereof?

It's a State Park.  Alcoholic beverages aren't permitted.

Better bring a load of coffee.   :)

I think we will need some bigger arrows. They spotted a cross bred squirrel near the lodge.

Larry...I hat to make you nervous, but that's a photo of the average Shawnee Park squirrel.  An immature one at that.   George

The Squirrel Poem [slightly edited version]

When I try to sleep at night
There is a noise above my head
Sometimes it is so loud
That I jump right out of bed

I throw things at the ceiling
And dodge them coming down
I try every little thing I can
To stop the squirrels from running around

They wake me in the morning
And interrupt my sleep at night
I think they’re having a party
Or maybe a really big fight

It’s fun to see them play
While eating peanut butter
But when they cease to be adorable
I shoot them with a NUTTER!!!!!!!!!!

Good Gravy, Boys... y'all got way too much time on your hands! LMAO!

BTW, Don't forget to bring your orange hat and vest!!!  Just re-read to be sure...archers for deer and MZ (which is closed now) didn't need orange...but small game always needs 250 sq" so vest and cap!

Might as well put a bullseye on the vest to give then ninja saber-toothed squirrels a target, eh?

George, at least we will be able to hear them roaring on a fresh kill, so they should be easier to find.

Lookin' forward to seein' everyone. But our plans have changed a bit. My son and I probably won't make the start of dinner Doc, but we should be there to help finish it. Save a few tree rats for us to shoot on Saturday.

Day One was a cold 5 degrees with clear blue skies and 3" snow. Absolutely beautiful!

Joe, Ryan, and I hit the woods at 9:00AM. We did some still hunting and stump shooting (BSing). We met up with George at the pavillion mid morning and commenced to eating hot dogs and homemade soup. Rounds of laughter are good for warming cold bones too!

At Noon Doc, Ranger58, and Snakeeter showed up and quickly got themselves ready for the hunt. We split up and hit the woods. My group didn't see anything I'm not sure how Georges group did. I had to get home.

Heavy snow in the forcast for Saturday. I don't think I will make it back over. I have to drive over some roads that get really bad when it snows.

Good luck everyone!

Yes they were there..ist picture tracks.
They even went under one of the guys trucks.
They even went into the pavillion we were using.
Last photo is Snakeeater, praying to the squirrel gods to stop the incessant ridicule.

Today it is snowing....we'll see.    George
