Shawn...looks like a bad storm coming. I'm off Monday, Tuesday. I don't have your number, give me a call Sat evening 845-691-5533 and we can make plans. I'll even just drop off the stuff at your dad's home. When I get off Exit 23, turn right, what was the road I make the next right off of? I remember the large house on the left. Be talking to ya killer....Joe

Dave, I drove home 1 hr into the storm and it was a whiteout. Barely could see vehicles 60 yds in front of me. We're expecting up to 15" with high drifts, 30 mph winds.

Joe, I e-mailed ya my #, I will do it again. The snow is bad 2"s and hour. We have 6"s now and it hasd only been snowing about 3 hrs. We are supposed to get at least 20"s, like Joe said white conditions, wind chills 25 below zero. Curt next weekend is open as well, we have to scout and shoot some for sure.  Brian I hate waiting too, but I have been huntin quite a bit as usual. I got a new LB today, Widow PLX, it is a sweet shooter, I have to find the right arrow. 2117s bare-shaft real nice but fletched seam a tad stiff. I am shooting away in the house when I let the dogs out! Shawn

Great,  You guys be safe, I just looked at our local forecast and they are saying 20" to two plus feet, plus the high winds.  I'm expecting the phone to ring tonight to help out at work, we'll see.

Yeah David, I work for a large school district and will have to go in and have my building ready for Monday. I like the snow though, I just do not like the below zero temps, 15-20 is OK. Shawn

It is actually the very first Proto-Type of the PLX, it is marked Proto# 1. It is the same bow though except the grip may be a tad different. It is 62"s and marked 50#s at 28"s, but it scales 52#s on a couple different scales. It is sweet, no handshock and fairly quick. I hate the Widow strings though. I am gonna order a 10 strand D-97 for it. I am liking it, but have only shot it about 100 times. I got to find the right arrow yet!! I cannot wait to see all you guys at the hunt. OOHHHH YEAHHH!!!!  Shawn

I know what you mean Shawn, thing with us is we're out there 24/7, and I think we only have two newer guys on the street for midnights tonight.  Those Ford Crown Vics aren't all that good in feet of snow.

Looks like I should start looking for the snowshoes for next month.  As a new guy I expect to be breaking trail, so I'll be gettin on the treadmill too.  Less than a month to go!!!

David, the way we hunt, everyone breaks trail. We usually surround a piece and my Dad places some of the watchers and we just send the dogs and pushers through. It was perfect last year, overcast and about 5"s of snow and temps right around 30 degrees. The only thing I pray for is snow(amount does not matter, unless over two feet) and overcast skies. The bunnies do not like bright sunshine with them big eyes and on sunny days hang close to their holes. Shawn
