That is what I am talking about!! As we get closer to the date I will compile a list of what guys are bringing ad post it, that way we will not duplicate too many things. Joe that is awesome,I am glad ya can make day two. I thought I would have more hits than this. Swampbuck, Wapiti Chaser, Meathook, Curt(Guru) Sleepyhollow where are ya, I hope ya did not party too hard last night. Some of the thing we will need are: Plstic cups, sturdy paper or plastic plates. I will have everyone throw in $5-$10 and I will get lunch meat and Dads Chili, someone can make a venison stew or I will do it, can soda, or plastic small bottles, chips, dips(Lee that is a hint!) he works for frito lay. If ya want beer, let me know if we have enough interest for saturday night I can get a 1/4 keg. Donuts and pastries. I will have condiments and such. I am gonna take the day off before the hunt and get everything ready. I will set up some 3-D targets and a gazebo and tables for the give-a-ways. I have  nice Bear Super Grizz, it is scuffed up a little but a nice shooter that I am gonna donate. make sure you guys bring your extra bows so we can all shoot them. If some one has a light Lefty, around 40#s, please bring it,Dad can carry a bow that way. I know he would love that. Nanook are ya out there? I have a self bow that was donated last year and Nanook gave it back to my Dad, it is too heavy for him. I thought we could all sign it and then donate it to the St. Jude auction or Thunder. I am looking forward to seeing everyone and hope I make it enjoyable for all. I was worried last year and it turned out awesome, with 2 days I am twice as worried, but with people like you guys and girls I know I shouldn't. I am trying to get one more spot to hunt, it is a large piece and it would give us room for all of us, I will keep everyone posted. By the way, I got a new bunny and squirrel bow. It is a Chek-Mate Firbird 56"s and 62#s at 28"s, I am shooting aluminum out of it(Never shot them before)and they ae flying nice, so Bunnies Beware!! >>>>--------->   Shawn

David, bring a venison dish. main meals are always good. Everyone will eat good. Larry, I hope ya can make it. You can bring the misses and get a hotel room near by and send her shopping!(LOL!) I shot some tonight, my arm is healing. I tore a tendon in my elbow and have to be good. I just shoot until it starts to hurt and quit. This is gonna be good, I hope we have snow, if not it will be tough. If ya got a beagle ya want to run and he is good with other dogs, they are welcome. I will be running Ben and Elma Fudd(female)!! Shawn, Yesterday Swampbuck, Meathook and my self went bunny hunntin. On the way home Tom and I were talking about your hunt and bam here it is. So I run over to the calendar and see I will be in Wisconsin from Monday to Friday of the week before for work !! That sucks. I get in late Friday night. Saturday will be out but I should be on for Sunday if you save a few bunnies. Gotta talk to Swamp and Meat.

Shawn.. I would love to make it. At least one day, if not both. Once a list is together on the donations and what have you, I will be open to sugestion on what to bring for donation or otherwise.
Someday you and I will take the Great Hart by our own skill alone, and with an arrow. And then the Little Gods of the Woods will chuckle and rub their hands and say, "Look, Brothers. An Archer! The Old Times are not altogether gone!"

Melinda and I will be there. Got a new set of chaps for X-Mass so I should be all set. Most likely make it for the weekend. Thought that bow might be a little heavy for your Pa but it was worth a try. Looking for a light lefty for my niece so if I find one I'll bring it along.

Well I am glad Mr and Mrs Nanook of the North of me are going to be there.  :)   That answers my trail breaking problem.  :D   New Chaps means you go into the thick, thorny stuff with Shawn and the dogs.     Oh where is recurver...I figured Bryan would be in here disputing the impaled rabbit theory but I believe that's how we saw it.    ..Mac~

19-20 Feb?

Count me in provisionally.  I've got something else waiting to be scheduled for around that weekend and so I'm not 100% sure whether I'm free.

I sure HOPE to be though.  I'll watch the thread and try to confirm as soon as I can.

For those of us without NY licences, what would be the earliest/nearest place to get one?  If I can get my act together I might just nip over for a day trip and get one once I know what's what.

Shawn, I'm adding 1/2 dozen youth/women arrows, spined 30-35. I'm cutting them 28" BOP, 100 gr field pts installed. I'm leaning towards a blaze orange or bright red dip for visibility. Final count on the flu-flu's is 6. I also found 8 Cedar shafts spine 40-45#. Time permitting, I may make these up for you also. No sense having 8 shafts laying around the shop...

Shawn,Joe, If I'm able to make it I'll BEG Lisa to let me bring up her Ed Mikuta longbow 36# @ 28"  so that folks can shoot it. I had it out one day shooting it and when I came back inside I got "the look" and she said "Don't you have your own bow???" It's a real sweet shooter, and super fast to boot!!! Happy Hunting!!!   Chuck
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!
