For out of staters...

   Overall hunting regs

   Small game regs

I'll let Shawn confirm with specifics, but the local Walmart should be able to handle licenses.

This hunt is a GOOD time and you will be hard pressed to find a better family to host it and a better group of people who attend...last year was just awesome.

Count me in for at least Saturday!  If there's space to throw a sleeping bag or room for a tent somewhere I'd like to stay for both days.  I can bring the cups, plates, napkins and what-not if no one has claimed them as well as what ever else you need me to bring.

Looking forward to putting some faces with the names I've been seeing for the last 5 months!

Tom, you can sleep in the housewith the dog, or the garage or the basement. I am gonna use folding tables so we can get them off the back porch(enclosed)and sleep at least ten in there. Jeremy that sounds good too me. I will mark ya down for those. BJK is correct, you can go on-line and buy licenses or Wal-Mart which if ya take the Thru-way or I-90 and get off at exit 23 you will go right by it. I have a budd y that works the sporting goods dept, and I will let him know he may have a rush Sat. morning. It is only 6-7 minutes from Mom and Dads. I am still working on some more areas, but I have enough to keep us into bunnies for 1-1/2 days, as I think Saturday we will do some warm-up and fun shooting until 12 or so and have lunch and then hunt the rest of the day. I really want to thank Joe for his generous contributions, he is a real good guy and I am hoping (you) he makes it. I do not know where Curt is, but I am sure he will chime in. Everyone who is coming, please start your snow dances, as it will make for a much better hunt with the white stuff. I do not think any tents will be neccesary as Mom and Dad have a big house and Mom said as long as ya take your boots of we can sleep anywhere. I am gonna stay and I only live 10 minutes away. I will put signs with a few balloons to help catch your eyes as you are getting close to the hunt site. It should be a good time, actually a great time, just seeing people from last year and meeting new ones!! I am trying to keep my buds from shooting too many before the hunt and no snow now is a good thing for that. I will check in a gain befor I go to bed!! Shawn

Shawn.... I will plan on donating a new bow sock for a prize. I also have a six pack of Wenzel Woodsman's that I opened and sharpened a few, but never used (new this year), so I will donate them as well. And I will bring a Cheesecake, too.
Someday you and I will take the Great Hart by our own skill alone, and with an arrow. And then the Little Gods of the Woods will chuckle and rub their hands and say, "Look, Brothers. An Archer! The Old Times are not altogether gone!"

I should have a quiver or two (side and hip) for the pot.  They'll be plain, but functional and durable.

I'll commit to bagels, but won't know till mid feb if I will definately make it...with that work thing and all.

Mark are you gonna make it?  Hope so...we should try to get together for some squirrels or yotes or sumothin'

Talk later,
Brian

Brian , ya know I think you already sound ill and by the 19th. I think you just may have to call in sick. Mac, Thanks, I think?(LOL!) Steve, the prizes are just for fun and actually youcould put a donut on the table and someone would take. We had river cane last year and I may put on the gloves an go out and harvest some Multi-flora rose shoots and bundle them up, I am sure some self-bow guys would love tem. Joe Skipp has outdone himself, but I will keep it a surprise. I am making up some flu-flus as I type. The aerial shots are always good and ya never know there is usually a squirrel to be shot at during the hunt as well.  Later!! Shawn

Hi, Shawn... I understand about the prizes. The Wenzel Woodsmans... I bought them last year and tried a couple of them on the broadhead target, in comparison to the my trusty Magnus II's... the WW's didn't fly as good as the Magnus blades for me. So I rather give them to someone in Tradgang that can use them.

Guru, the donation thing is no big deal!! You and I know that this thing about getting together and meeting old friends and new ones and hopefully killing a bunny or three. I have hammered a few, but there are a lot out there. I have killed 15 so far, only one with the bow. The last valley where we jumped all the turkeys on last years hunt is loaded. We put out 15 rabbits last week and only did half of it as it was getting dark and we had to quit. We are about to get hit with some snow soon and I am praying we have some for the hunt. The way the winter is so far, you never know. I will check in again later,  am doing up some bunny hunt arrows. Electric purple reflective wrap and 3 chartreuse nanners, one with a blue stripe. They should show up real good in the snow!!  Shawn

What means no? We can try them out the next good snow. This weekend I am real busy or else I would be out there. I may go after work tomorrow for an hour or two. I am gonna bring the new Chek-Mate. It is early to get this thread going so it will be tough to keep it up, but as it gets nearer I think it will be right up there. It is still a month and a half away and it isshaping up real good.  Shawn

Scott as we get closer, like the first week in February I will post of list of what people are bringing as far as food and paper products and such. Basically anything you want, I just do not want to get buried with too much of one thing. Last year we had enough donuts and patries too feed 50 people for 2 days, but it is always better too have to much than too little. I have made up 1/2 dozen flu flus and Joe Skipp is sending a half dozen for the air targets. I also want to say, no rubber blunts at the ballon shot, no prize if ya use one. My buddy last year shot the same arrow 4-5 times even though he only broke two ballons. I am still finding dead arrows in dads yard from that!! Looking forward to meeting everyone!! Shawn
