On a Wingnut and a prayer(PICS)
« on: August 18, 2005, 12:20:00 PM »
Just wanted to share a preview of the weekend ahead. Mr Wingnut and Son is headed South fer the weekend. Gonna lay up in the Littlefeather camp and utilize the full Moon to kill some swine. Mike and Jason wanna get warmed up before they treck to the Artic North in a few weeks to take a Moose. Any predictions on the outcome of this hunt? My money is on Jason. I happen to know where he is gonna hunt and I feel like a string is about to drop! Pictures to follow, Im sure.

No pressure Jason    :readit:    CK

Hmmm wonder if they'll be shooting Windtalkers ha ha

I know Mike is a heck of a shot...saw him nail a little AZ pig at a "Oh my God, I think he's gonna shoot" distance....LOL

got me laughing going to get ready for the north by hunting in 100degree weather . won't help unless you got a real big walk  in cooler for them to hunt in . just thin their blood so much that went that first icey wind hits them they will go stiff -- herb   :D    :D    :D

Herb,

heck it can't hurt us much, it's 96 here today and we are only 5 hours or so north of CK.

Yep looking to test performance on our Moose equipment and knock the rust off a bit.  Haven't been hunting since April. LOL

Going with twin WindTalkers, 58@28 with bowbolts.  One is Bocote with a Cocobolo swoop and the other is the mirror image.  Also taking my new 58" Horne Recurve for Curtis to fondle if it gets finished this afternoon.  No pressure Mark. LOL

Got a surprise in a bow sleeve for ol' Curtis also.

We are traveling light with only a tent and the small kitchen.  Mickey knows what the big kitchen looks like.

Looking forward to fun in the sun and dead piggies.

Mike

Big Kitchen is bigger than my house..and usually a lot more messy ha ha. Try and remember, snack get arranged by order of size, dirty glasses right side up, clean glasses up side down, breads all together, bottles with the labels out...

Hey Mike, you and Jason have a good time, stay safe, and watch the sky for aliens dropping in.

Ooohh sounds like Littlefeather is about to have his bow collection enriched   ;)

My money is on Mike. Age and sneakiness before youth and energy. Sounds like perfect practice to me, get real close and twang a pointy stick at something that can chase you up a tree, yeah, that's pig/moose huntin. Go get em fellers.

Thats funny! Mike and Jason should be here shortly. I asked Mike about the Moose arrows he's gonna be shooting this weekend. I asked if they were unbreakable? Hogs are harder on arrows than any animal I know. He might need to build more Moose arrows later. I think Mike said the arrows were a tad over 800 grains. He should at least get one to break the skin.

I feel a story swelling. CK
