Yessir! The only thing better than dropping the string myself was seeing a deserving young guy take himself a pig! It is very , very cool that we set out with the #1 goal being to get Jason on a hog. He did it! I was elated when we found the pig. That emotional roller-coaster was bearing down full force.

I love the Moon over the shoulder Hero pics. I just wish my camera would have captured it as beautiful as it was. Absolutely priceless. Congrats again Jason. Come back anytime. CK

I'm in from the shop to cool off a bit and would like to take a moment to thank Curtis for sharing his private hunting grounds with us.  We met and had a chance to talk some at MoJam this year and in the closing moments of Sunday as everyone was packing I caught up with him with a request.  I wanted to get jason one more chance at taking an animal before we head to Alaska in September.  It's much easier to take a large animal when you are riding a positive confidence.  IMHO

Anyway Curtis said to come on down.  We did and had a great time.  Curtis is a bundle of energy and was really squirmin when I made him sit and talk for an hour on Saturday.  LOL

We had a great time telling lies and shooting bows.  Even got a nice Hog to boot.

Thanks again bud, we'll for sure be seeing ya again soon.

Congratulations guys! Great pictures and story, thanks for letting us all be a part of your hunt. When you come up here to Moose hunt in September, give me a yell. I would love have you over for a meal and maybe shoot a little. Good luck on your Moose hunt! Scott

Herb,

After seeing them itty bitty tree stands I decided to hunt the ground.  LOL

They were at best single cheekers.

Great story and great pictures. Nothing builds confidence like taking game. But nothing beats time with your son and a good friend.

Ya know...after seeing those pics...I'm gonna have to take Rachel up on her saying she wants to go hog hunting.  Got a few years to build up the weight, but no doubt the little gal could make a shot if she felt safe.   "[laffsmyl]"

Jason, way to go. Don't let anyone razz you about the shot. Heck, I have had my share of misses on hogs.
