Here's some pix from this mornings stand.It was terrible windy,sustained gusts of 50mph!!!!!

On the edge of a a big cornfield.A killer stand!! I could actually shoot out of this one!!!

David,I can definately see you shooting a deer out of this one!! You'll like it.....
 
I was only about 12 feet up,in a huge oak tree.The tree never budged,but I was actually blown off balance a couple times  from the wind  :scared:

 This is how Shawn picks out his stands....check out his eyes....

 

Seriously....the boy has some killer stands,he knows his stuff boys.When Shawn puts you in a stand,you can be 100% confident you're in a great spot.

 Isn't it something how such a great friendship can come from a guy getting a hole blown in his leg,and a guy he doesn't even know,sending him a heartfelt e mail about something similar he went thru???

Shawn,Thanks for all you did for me this weekend.I really appreciate your friendship,humor,dedication,and determination.We're one in the same bud.I'll see you again soon.We will kill some deer!!

David,You have a lot to look forward to!!

I am going in tomorrow morning and put up a stand for David in that little honey we checked out this morning. as a matter of fact Curt picked out the tree!!! Also check out Davids thread about the next best thing!! Shawn

Nice pics guys...what is the broadhead looking thing in your lower quiver attatchment Curt? Well from what your saying Curt that boy has powerful vibes to give you a stand you put 100% faith in even though he finds them with his eyes closed...now that's knowing the territory...Shawn email me a cell phone or telephone number...Mac~

Man, now I am all fired up!!  I can't wait to get out there, and would have loved to have been there this weekend too. 12 feet is just about right.

Curt, both of those Kwyk Styks look great, but I'm partial to that osage look.

Is it still windy out there?  Hasn't stopped here since last night, still at 25-30 mph right now.

David,When you get there it should be rockin' bud.The woods will thin out,hopefully cold,and the buck(and there's a lot of them)should me on the move.Calling and rattling should be real good too.
The spot Shawn's settling up for you is a little honey hole.A prime spot to decoy and video too.Hopefully I'll join you guys for a day.Looking forward to it!!

Windy is not the word. I am getting ready to go hang a stand or two and trim a little bit so Curt stops cryin' about it!! I hunted last night at my brothers, Nothin'!! I may try again this evening. The wind is supposed to die down this afternoon. Shawn

Here is my last one, this is the buck Curt shot last year in Conn. It is pretty cool to get your name in the book, and with traditional gear makes it more special to me. Ya did good brother!!
