All of your comments mean so much to me - to make this perhaps the sweetest harvest I have ever made - (although my first trad last year was pretty high up there too, of course). Congrats to you too, Chuck (I blooded your knife gift last night, thanks again.)

Killum ol' Milk Lip!!

That is a sweet sight, Bernie! Fork tender thru and thru! (Sausage? SACRILAGE!) I gotta go do a PP dance now...

Only way I could get a deer on MY b'day is to hit it with my trusty Toyota.

Congats and Happy Birthday a day late.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

Congratulations Bernie and Happy Birthday. Here's wishing you many more, deer and Birthdays!
There's 2 dates they carve on your tombstone. Everyone knows what they mean. What's more important is time that is known as the little dash in between.

Great B'day present to yourself and will taste soooo good. Happy Belated and keep at it!
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.
