Another NH buck!
« on: November 10, 2005, 12:36:00 PM »
I don't put my bow away when firearms season opens. I shot  this 8 pointer this week with my DAS recurve. I've a story to tell but will have to do it another time as I need to put up a new stand for Laura near a rub she found. Will get back to you.

Here's the hero pic. Don't know why it didn't come

up.

I know I look too serious in the pic but Laura insists its the best one (of the buck, I believe).

Bill, I like those "serious" pictures.  You look like a "killer"!  Great buck!!  Good luck to your wife.

ber346...I am more proud of the trailing job I did than the fact that it was a buck. I still do not have a lot of time but I can tell you I got a new Cuddeback last week and have a couple pics of him at the same tree stand I got the 10 pointer on Oct.1. Even though I double lunged him I hit the off shoulder and had a scant blood trail and it was a 4-5 hour trailing stint that went 400 yards with 100 yards between some of the blood drops. I'll give a full report as time allows.

WaKeDa...the bow is a DAS Kinetics that I skinned with a pair of snake skins I was saving for a special bow...I believe I have put those skins on the best hunting bow I have ever owned or shot.

Great job on the shot and trail, Bill.  Nice buck, too.

It's hard to figure how a double lunged deer can make it so far, but some of them do.
