Well folks I had to reschedule my lion hunt due to rain and warm weather in Utah.On the bright side, Shawns place is 20 minutes away.I havent been totally following the thread and with all the snow I wont be able to read all the pages today, its got me busy.If its not overbooked Id love to come and meet you all.Ill be bringing "Elvis" my 6yo son if thats cool.Ill try to contact Shawn and work things out.Hope to see everyone there. And hey Ill get to use the gaiters I bought for the lion hunt!Man I was dreaming lions,I counted them just to get to sleep.

Lions huh? Ever hear of em being here in NY? It is gonna be cool meeting all these fellow New Yorkers...not to mention the hunts and other activities.
Just got back from a walk...not a thing moving out there. Snow isnt as light and fluffy as they said it would be...guess I will have to snow-blow some paths Friday huh?

I pulled that pic off a news site.  German farmers are raising them for food... I think they both have been into the german stout too much!

Mmmm... stout...

We are getting pounded with more freezing rain along with snow. We were let out of work 2pm today and it took me 45 minutes to get home...usually takes 15.

Plenty of ice under the snow here on roads etc...
Stong winds are playing havoc here also. Right now I'm headed down to the shop to put in a good chew of Levi and shoot my bows...

Well just came in from my second snow blowing mission of the day, no small feat as the drive is well over 300'  :(  Thinking of bringing it along to let one of those snow dancers clear a path  :p  Got about 18" here.

I,ll be doing my 2nd blow of the day when I get home. Not sure how long my driveway really is,it's a horseshoe shape thats lower than my front yard so the snow blows across the yard and drops in my driveway    "[dntthnk]"

PLEASE stop dancein    :)

Ok guys, I finished my contribution to this years JLMBH raffle. It is 8 1/4" long, 4 1/8" blade, walnut handle with brass bolster, brass and steel rivets. Blade is a ground lawn mower blade. I still have to sharpen it (and maybe sign it.)

Pictures to follow,
Ru

Wish I could get to brag about this one. I didn't make it... my son Ru did. So I get to brag about him.    :bigsmyl:
He'll be turning 14 next week and his blacksmithing skill has way surpassed me. Here are some more photos:

Nice job Ru !!!

Chuck, Not sure what you were thinking but I'm bringing a two man crosscut saw for Larry. He cuts them up for knife blade stock.

Swampbuck, A little before 4 is good. I haven't heard from Don. Pete's cap isn't coming in and he said he isn't feeling well so I may bum a ride with you. Maybe we can paint Sonny's tail blaze orange so we can find him in the snow.
