Some of you may remember a thread I posted way back when about the woes of my weekend gar hunting adventure. (it was yesterday)
Not to be put off by misfortune and my own ineptitude, I once more loaded my bowfishing rig into the black Toyota and headed down to the creek. (that's "crik" for you westerners)
I didn't expect the action to be as hot as it had been yesterday... and it wasn't. But it twarnt bad.
Without any extra trips to the house for gear, no thundering rust buckets or free falling youngsters to interupt my quest I managed to land 19 short nose gar.
I have to admit I started out slow, but soon snapped right into the groove. Pure instinctive shooting joy.
I had one string where I made 8 consecutive hits.
Get this! Twelve feet up on a bridge, average shot was 10 yards out... sound like a familiar scenario? Like I said, "anybody can hit a deer". :D
