DAAAAANG! Lemme know if you need anything Charlie and it's on it's way airborn!

Least they didn't get the bows.

Rabbitman, yet another proof the REASON they are crooks is they ain't bright enough to hold a decent job. Thankfully so in this case   :knothead:

Just off the phone with Charles....He handeling it better than I had thought he would be. Doors are still on the Motel room at this time anyway and no broken toes from kicking anything.

He is going to continue the Trip. Better to lick his wounds with good friends, than to brood over them. One comment he made was "This ain't no Stumbeling Block it's a Stepping Stone"
Hes more hurt than any thing.
In the travel bag with ALL his clothes  was his Presentation Douc Cambell Caper as well as his Bison Gear Back pack that had ALL the hunting gear. As well as his extre arrows.

On the brighter side he does still have the BOWS arrows that were attached to the fishing Bows as well as quiver and arrows that were on his curve.

To all his friends I'de just say keep him lifted up for a bit.........vance

I guess Charlie will have to go Abo on us and hunt naked!!!!

Funny how things work out.  I'd rather they stole my clothes instead of my bow too.

JC...They're not bright enough and way too lazy.  There ought to be a bounty on them. This whole incident sucks.  Wish there was something I could do to help right now.  Curtis, tell Charlie we're all thinking about him.

TTT for the next chapter, "The recovery".

This is the day we've been waiting months for. Jason Wesbrock should be climbing on a plane headed south this morning while Charlie and I grill up some baby-back ribs and final tune gear. The Weather Man looks like he is going to try and throw a wrench in things for us but we have a back-up plan. 70 percent chance of the wet stuff today and tonight. We may hunt pigs in place of fish tonight and go after fish tomorrow night. We'll let the weather help us decide. Hopefully this next chapter will go a little smoother than the first one. Gotta go get the grill hot now. Stay tuned. CK

Half-time report: Arrived at the dock as the rain was easing up a bit. The water still had a tea look but wasn't total mud. We decided we'd make the best of things in spite of the 15-18 inches of rain that has fallen along the coast in the last few weeks. The rain brought oxygen to the water which was keeping the alligator gar deep. There was no need for them to rise to the surface and things were tougher than we'd bargained for. The night ran into dawn and still found us standing up shooting the little ones. I think total count of the small gar was somewhere between 50 and 60. We strung them on rope and they stretched the entire length of my 20' boat. Not bad! Oh yea, Jason Wesbrock got to hold a live gator that decided it needed to be caught sometime around 2:00am this morning. That fella was grinning like a possum! The gator went free and quite unharmed.

Been raining on and off all day. We've decided we need no more small fish and don't want to hunt big ones while conditions are so tought. We are now off to find Jason a night-time hog to lift his adrenaline level. I'd better go wake the boys now. It's getting late. I'll update tomorrow. Be well and have a great evening! CK

I'm having computer problems this afternoon. Weather related I'm sure. The second chapter is even better than the bowfishing chapter. Jason took some advice and did some night hunting for hogs last night at my lease property. That Lanky Yankee wacked himself a trophy tusker in the half moon from inside of 10 yards. This hog is a really nice, dominant Boar that'll tip the scales at over 200#. What a trip it's been for him!!!! Charlie is scheduled to do some relief shooting tonight if the weather and the moon hold good. Stay tuned! I'll have Charlie get on after his beauty sleep. I must say his spirits are drastically elevated after you guys pitched in for his recovery efforty. CK
