Charlie, I hope this thread has been just one great chapter in a long, wonderful book.  I came across this quote from John Muir and thought of you:  "The mountains are fountains of men as well as of rivers, of glaciers, of fertile soil. The great poets, philosophers, prophets, able men whose thoughts and deeds have moved the world, have come down from the mountains - mountain dwellers who have grown strong there with the forest trees in Nature's workshops."

Hey T... I'm not sure I'll ever do a thread "just like" this one again.... whewwwwww!! Takes some serious time.

As you can see, I made it home just fine. Except for the idiots on the highway trying to kill me it was uneventful.

Tucked in for the night just west of Lincoln,Nebraska... in one of those motels where you part the rig just outside the window of your room.
Brought all my gear in the room with me except bike and freezer and put my handy dandy Glock on the stand next to my bed.

Made a few mental notes as I traveled...21 hours of windshield time leaves plenty of time to do that!    :campfire:

thanks for all your hard work on this thread, but man it just aint right that a person can take a whole month and go huntin'

Now the way I figure it if you get ta go huntin' so much you better put some of your scibbles in a book so we all can read'em!!!!  :notworthy:

thanks again my friend,

PS For Holloween I want to be Mr Lamb and go trick-or-treatin' untill nov 31st but I just can't figure out who house to go to first!!

Woo-Hoo!
  :wavey:
Fifty-plus pages just chock-full of hunting adventure and lore, how can you read it and not ask for more? Yep. I am saving up for the book as we type.

Charlie, I will PM you my address. The phone number has been changed, so the one in all those truck stop restrooms doesn't work anymore.

Brian, you go to Ferret's house first. You've seen what's in his yard, right?  :bigsmyl:
