First Deer Ever
« on: October 09, 2006, 12:13:00 PM »
Hey all,

I just harvested my first deer ever and I did it with Trad Gear.  Specifically a 54", 55# York recurve with Grizzly broadheads.

I am super excited because this is only the second week of my first ever hunting season.  I even saved the hide with the intention of making a back quiver in honor of my first kill.

I know she was small but what an amazing experience.  I can't imagine what it must be like to take a big buck.

Now you will know true addiction. Just to be in the woods, to hear the deer  moving in the dry leaves with the smell of fall in the air . Congrats on your first, great trophy.

Thanks guys,

I don't know if any will ever feel as good as my first, but I am truly grateful and proud of the experience.

Good for you! Be sure to make that quiver. I've got one made from my first deer from 1965.
