I would love to Ron , but that will have to be when Oregon starts giving out two deer tags , finished the deer part early on this year.
I will most likely be heading out to Idaho again to help my son joey get a deer, then I will chase kitty's for a bit. I plan on heading to Texas this next winter for a pig hunt and before you know it I will be back guiding bearhunters in the spring. So much hunting , so little time.

I plan on putting the hurt  :knothead:  on those ruttin' bucks in November. I'm looking forward to the late season, just got down the rattling bones and dusted them off.  ;)

But first I need to bust a turkey at White River, I drew a fall turkey tag.

Good luck with the longtails!

Congratulations Ted!! It is great when it all comes together, and with the family to top it off!!!
I hope to take a nice whitetail this weekend with the snaky old Osage flatbow you made for me many years ago. It has been my constant companion.

For sure the best trophy pic I've seen all year.  Some things just have to wait till the time is right I guess.  Congrats!

Ted you have a great looking family. I think it is so cool that you all hunt together. It reminds me of my wife's family, When we first started dating i was invited to go deer hunting with them. We all packed into a blazer to go hunt the state park. There was me, my fatherinlaw ,grandmother, grandfather, aunt and uncle. I sat there and thought to my self this is the greatest family that i have ever seen. Out of that group three have since died. What i wouldn't give to take that ride one more time.

Hey Ted,
What a great picture of your wonderful family and a very good bull!  I sure hope we can hunt together again, someday.  Sorry I haven't been around much but that garage has been a real monkey on my back.  I still have a  bow in your shop to finish.  I'll get it done this winter, I hope.  Talk to you in a few days.

What a blessing indeed to be able to hunt with your family.  That particular outing won't soon be forgotten.

Ted,
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy...I think I just might join you this spring and who knows maybe we can share a camp in the fall as well...I love that area of Idaho.

Take Care

Congratulations Ted! What an incredible critter! Shouldn't be to difficult to convince Lois and the boys to make Idaho a yearly trip after a hunt like that! How about a photo of the "trophy" 4x6 blacktail you harvested last month to go with your bull?

Thanks Viking, I bet you will get another big whitetail in Idaho again this year. Pretty soon I would like to see you with your son in a back pack out hunting. Maybe next fall over that spring you found for that bear.  The 4x6 he is talking about is a spike buck that measures 4" on one side and 6" on the other, great eating deer.
Thanks Angelo , would love to share a campfire with you anytime.
Yes a blessing not to soon forgotten, one that when and if God willing, I get to enjoy those nice fall days in a rocking chair I will look back and smile.

Congrats Ted, finally put a face to the phone conversations.  Thank you so much for the SS Snuffers, have them on some arrows and ready for caribou hunting this winter.

Awesome family and nice bull, again, congratulation.
