Had I not been so busy congratulating my hunting buddy, perhaps a second animal may have been put on the ground too.
We were on a guided hunt, at a place called Hillside Ranch, north of San Francisco. It is 4000 magnificent acres of unfenced forests and creek beds. The guide, Robert Larson, worked our butts off ground hunting from dawn till after dark.
My son is providing the meat for our family Thanksgiving dinner this year! What a rush!
