If I didn't luv ya so much I'd be jealous   :D

Like I said before, you ever start a class, I get to be first.

Way to go bro, very, very happy for you. Beautiful deer and great job at taking one of the hardest animals to take in our part of the country....never even gotten an arrow off at a coyote with a stickbow. Well deserved praise for a fine hunter and even finer man....

Well again, thank you for the amazingly kind words...it's great to know I have such good friends here...you guys are the best!!!

......One of those days....I just knew if spent enough time in this spot(not a lot of deer in this area, but a great funnel)I would see a nice buck.....First spotted movement...see the coyote coming...he closes....I lip squeak...she stops (6yds)as I draw...she sees me and tries to go....not quite quick enough...I instantly see blood and she tumbles to rest about 60yds away!!   What a great feeling to get the yote,my second ever......

....about an hour later...my patience pays off...a good buck coming thru my funnel...he comes right to me and I make one of the most difficult shots I've ever made....all of 3 yds from my tree.....awkward and straight down!!

One lung...but I knew I had him!!!! I had to sit down,I was a mess!!!

For someone who asked....I was shooting my Kempf Kwyk Styk(I've recently re-named "Timex"),62@28,Carbonwood 4000's 29",100gr steel adapters and big 160 Snuffers.

I skinned the yote and as usual checked out the damage.Pulled out the heart to see I cut the bottom of it.But was very suprised to see this...

I had another double in '97....red fox and a spike.....

Very short version of what went down.....Thanks Again  :notworthy:

Thanks for sharing Curt.Do you think heartworm would eventually kill the coyote?I never would of thunk it?heartworm in a yote.I guess it makes sense, isn't heartworm spread by mosquitos?.sorry to ramble and again congrats on the fine double.

It does make sense....I guess....someone at work said it's probably pretty common with wild canines.....just like dogs that are out in the field a lot...but most dogs get treated for it...obviously the yotes don't...so maybe it is something that a lot of wild canines have....things like this are why wild critters usually have a short life expectancy....never really thought about it till I looked at the Snuffer damage......wild animals never cease to amaze me......

Great job, Curt, and I love that last pic (of the three of you). I guess when you compare that heart worm shot with some of the pics of HW infestation you see in Vet's Offices , it is a pretty mild case. Those pics show balls of them as big as softballs! Yep, they gotta git bit by skeeters out there in the wild - with no preventive medecine like (most of) our domestic canines get. I'd never thought about it either.

That's some nasty looking heartworm in that coyote, Curt.  :scared:
Other than that, though, seems to me like you took some fine representatives of our local NY fuana. Great job, man!  :D
