How many spots are still open? Do you need a passport to drive into Canada? I know you need one to fly now. I can't get one because of having an outstanding student loan balance.

I don't think you need one yet to drive across the border. You definily need a valid picture ID.    I have not been over there in several years.

I used to work with a guy that commuted from Windsor.   I'll see what I can find out.
