Here it is guys and gals!!! The official thread for what was the Southern NY Bunny Hunt. I was gonna wait another week but I could not stand it. As you know we are gonna have the LDB for the hunt, so I was getting stuff together for some special arrows. I called FoxFire Archery to check on my order and when I spoke to Tracy and told him what the order weas for, he spoke up and said he will make up the arrows and donate them to our raffle for the St. Judes Childrens Fund. Incredible!!! Also HotHap from this site donated a dozen custom made arrows. Big Ed heard what I was doing and is sending me shafts as well and I will turn them into arrows for the table as well. We will also have all the usual contributers as well. The dates for the hunt are the 18th and 19th. of february. People can arrive anytime after 7am sat. morning. I will have directions for all as the time draws near. I will try and start a list like last year as to what food and beverages are being brought and by who and post that list so we do not duplicate to much. I figure just cereal and donuts for breakfast on Sunday as that is easy. For the guys out of state licenses are availible on line or at the local Wal-Mart. We will have a prize table for our fun shoot as well. I have a new idea this year and it involves helium, yes helium!!! I know I am forgetting a bunch of stuff but that is me. We have the same great peices to hunt and I am working on getting back that piece we hunted the first year and could not get into last year!! I know this is gonna be a blast and want to Thank every one in advance for making this such a great time!! OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Shawn

Yes.....Doesn't suprise me Shawn that Tracy is donating arrows at all, he is a good guy to deal with.  A chance to hunt with good people and to shoot the LDB again, I can't wait.  I know you've had a couple of offers, but if you need help setting up on Friday let me know, I can be there to give you a hand.  Helium huh, I don't even want to guess.....

Yeah, Dad is doing venison Chile' and I will have some rabbit dish. I will also provide Italian bread for the chile and also a stew. There are tons of bunnies this year so maybe we will be better than 1 for 97 this year!!! OOOOHHHH YEAHHHHHHHH!! Shawn

Shawn...below are pics of the arrows for your raffle. The 5 Flu-Flu's are yours to keep and use for the aerial targets.

One half dozen Youth arrows, POC, Spined 30-35#.
Rocket Red crown dip, 5" feathers
 

One Dozen POC arrows spined 55-60#, White crown dip, 4" partial of Flo Chart. 5.5" feathers

 

Flu-Flu's for the Aerial targets. I tried a red type stain for visibility, White crown dip, 4" partial Flo Chart. These are 4 fletched....

I have a Kern River Longbow that I finished with two strings. I'm not sure if you want it for the raffle or table, its up to you.

Shawn---I have a full size p/u with a cap....I can put some type of temporary benches in the back to transport some of the BUNNY KILLERS--LOL-

Mark -- Let me know which day (Sat???)...I imagine we can car pool or something...likely will be late cause of Scott, but we're used to it  

Gonna be fun...also...Scott told me about Tx...as long as the plane doesn't crash it should be a BLAST (no pun intended)!

One more thing...for those of us who missed last year, explain a bit about the auction, tables, etc...I may have to make some more items...
