Luke,

Bryan is right, $55.00, either online or at Wal-Mart just a couple of miles from Shawn's.  And like Curt said, this is a guaranteed good time with some pretty good people.

Luke, if ya can make it, we would love ya to come!! Bring some brush pants though, as Curt is right on about us taking care of ya!!(LOL!!) If ya can make it, you would come into Rennselaer train station, I could pick ya up and if ya want to come in on Friday evening I could have ya stay at my place for the night. I shot a little today and looked at my new area from the road. It looks good, Curt and I will walk it next weekend and see if there is bunny sign and figure out how to hunt it. My Dad said he knows how to hunt it, so he will come along with us. I hope it looks good as it is a big area and we would have plenty of room to roam! The 1st. of the month I will post who is bringing what food and I once again will put out a coffee can to help defer a little of my costs. I am gonna do a 6ft. sub and 100 wings and such, $2 a piece will do it as this will help with paper products as well. The guy is donating the Port-a-potty again as well, I myself really like that and I will again have it heated!! Things are coming together very well, now all we need is some snow, just enough to cover the ground would be fine. My Dad(Jake) also wants to let everyone know that he cannot wait to see ya'all again, ecsp. "Mo"!!! We have to decide abouty a bon-fire as well. I will take a vote on around the first of Feb. and see what we all think. I think a lot will depend on the weather, but we have plenty of wood and enough guys to build it so we will see. If ya want a cocktail after the days hunt,BYOB except Jeremy as I have him and I covered!! OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Shawn

I just got in about a half hour ago. I was just stumpin' but I saw 3 bunnies. No shots were offered. I used a rubber blunt today for the first time and man it let my arrow take a beating. It would probably do a number on a bunny, so I may try it with the LDB next week, I am supposed to have it by the end of the week!! Everyone better start doing there snow dances, we really need snow, those rabbits this morning were tough to see, but at least we know they are out there. Looking Good!! OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Shawn

Does anyone need some screw-in Ace Hex Blunts(125gr.)? I ordered the glue-on and they sent the wrong ones.

If anyone can use these let me know and I'll bring them on the day of the hunt.

I just thought I'd ask before I shipped them back.

Better you than me Jeremy!  :D

Here are some flu flu nutters I made up this week for the Bunny Hunt, shafts are oak dowels from Home Depot, everything else I had laying around the house.  Feathers are wild turkey from this years spring bird...I have no idea what they spine but they fly amazingly well from my osage selfbow.

Less than a month to go!  OOOHHHHHHH  YEEAAHHHHHH!!!

Jeremy, you will be fine(By Morning)anyway!! David, they look very nice, we need the flu-flus, as not everyone brings them. I have about 8 from Joe Skipp and I am making some up, so that is good. Jerry, bring the hex blunts, we can use them on the prize table, which is separate from the raffle table, ya get something for breaking a balloon thru the steel or hitting an aerial, which this year is gonna different. Also Mark's bunny thrower should make for some fun shooting!! OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Shawn

I'll also have some extra Flu Flu's, I just ordered a 1/2 dozen in the 50-55lb spine range.

Tom, ya gonna try and make it for the Sat. afternoon hunt? We will do our usual morning "Fun Shoot" and head out around 12:30 would be my guess!! Sunday will be the big hunt day, just shooting until 9 or 10 and than we get after those bunnies. My future son-in-law is in for both days and my daughter Nicole will be carrying a bow for at least one day, she will be just stumpin' and such, as she does not have a license yet, so she'll just be there for fun, "Mo" will not be the only Lady for a change, which is nice!! I have been cleaning and getting ready for the football games, so I go out and shoot an arrow every 15 minutes or so, I have yet to miss the vitals on my deer target at 23yds. This whole thing is shaping up nicely and I cannot wait to see old friends and meet some new ones!! Jeremy, that 1.75 litre' of SOCO. is waiting for you and me!(LOL!!) OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Shawn

As promised, here are some knives right out of the forge!  They're all in the tempering oven now and will get their final grind early next week.

One of them will be for the raffle and the other two are going elsewhere, I just haven't decided which is which.  So which one do y'all want to see on the table??  :D

The top and bottom knives each have a ~3" blade... the middle has a ~3.5" blade.
