Morning Ed, and everyone else.  Let me see, I have a normal work day off before the 18th, so, for me, it's 9 work days and a wakeup!  (Trying all I can to make it get here quicker.     :D    )

I pulled this weather forcast from the Farmers Almanac site:

February 2006
1st-3rd. Stormy, with snow for New England. Mixed snow and rain through the Mid-Atlantic States. Cold winds and rain through Virginia. 4th-7th. Becoming fair and much colder. 8th-11th. Snow again into New England. A wintry mix falls through the Mid-Atlantic States. 12th-15th. Generally fair and milder, then blustery. 16th-19th. Stormy, then fair and colder. 20th-23rd. Pleasant, with some fog for New England, then unsettled. 24th-28th. Fair and windy, then stormy with snow.

A question for the veterans of the Hunt: How many arrows are you bringing for the arrow eating steel that I've heard about?

Good Morning My Friends!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry say that Kevin and I will not be able to make both days  :(  I have tried and tried   :banghead:  but I just can't get off work. I have to work friday night 10pm - 6am sat. morning. I have tried to think of any possible way to make it happen BUT... There is just no REALISTIC way that I can work all night, then drive up there (I have even thought about having Kevin drive up LOL)and "Bust the Brush" all day without any sleep  "[nope]" !!! We were really looking forward to spending both days and I was REALLY looking forward to sitting around the campfire and shareing a bottle of "clear brown liquid" with all of my friends!!!!!!! (I had a bottle of Wild Turkey stashed away just for the Bunny Hunt)

Kevin and I will be there early Sunday morning!!! I'll stop at Dunkin'Donuts and get fresh donuts for breakfast, somebody just make sure the coffee pot is on!!!!!

Shawn, being as we won't be there for the St.Judes raffle PLEASE put Kevin and I each down for a "wingspan" of tickets. I'll send the money up with the RR Spike Tommahawk.

OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

Chuck,

Sorry to hear that you can't make both days. I worked the midnight shift for 5 years and hunting all day after one makes a very long hunt! I guess I'll have to wait until Sunday to meet you.

Like Chuck, I too work from 6pm to 6am...BUT, I'm fortunate enough to have seniority and I'm taking off half a night Friday evening so I'll get plenty of rest. I may have to leave Sunday afternoon before the Sunday hunt but that could change.
Morning Dave!!! How the heck is everything up in New England? Looking forward to having you by my side when we bust through those briars! Can't wait to see everyone again....

Jerry, that is up to you on the steel target. If ya shoot real good ya only need one. I normally go thru 6-8 before I give up. I break my share of balloons too!! Go to Lowes and get some dowels and make some up into arrows and it won't hurt so bad. I have seen Larry break 2-3 Ad trads, at $8-$10 a piece that hurts. We also have several other fun shooting events planned, none should hurt your arrows too much. I have about 20 flu-flus made up and labled most of them for the hunt"Joan Leonard Memorial Bunny Hunt " 2/18/06  I thought that would be cool and we can give some away!! This is gonna be awesome!! Hey Joe, how's it going?  You know I'll be there in the middle of those briars with you, I am really looking forward to this.  Weather up here is about like yours I imagine, no snow, temps have been in the 40's, rain today.  Hunter and I will be out in a little bit shooting a little 3d, maybe some stumping to go along with it too.  I think next year he'll be ready for the bunny hunt, he keeps asking now.  Looks like it's going to be a great time.

I have a little idea that I ran by Shawn, anyone with a sense of adventure and liking big animals might be interested in this one.....I'll leave it at that for now...gotta keep a couple of things for suprises.    :bigsmyl:

Jerry, I'm really looking forward to meeting you also my friend!!! Kevin and I each have about 6-8 arrows marked "Steel Only" LOL. We both use backquivers and we each have about a dozen cedars tipped with steel blunts for the hunt.

I think most of the guys are using bow quivers. (I used one last year and it worked OK) I didn't loose all of my arrows, BUT... I did have my quiver run dry on a couple of pushes LOL. I just like to carry ALOT of arrows!!! Also I have never found a bow quiver that holds more than a dozen arrows!!!!!  Bring whatever works for you!!! It's Gonna Be A BLAST!!!!!

A dozen arrows for the table plus I'll bring a couple of cases of Chips from Frito's.
