Maybe we can work up a hunt to Lake Amistad next year ?

3,000 acre and Bowhunting only, sounds like somewhere worth checking out.  We may do a drive by on our way out this time as we are leaving early Friday morning.

We plan on hunting maybe Friday evening and for sure Sat am and pm.

Plan on hunting it at least once or twice next year, suppose to be a good population of deer out that way.

The boys from EAST TEXAS, sometime referred to as the CROCKETT CLAN will be staying at a cabin on San Angelo State Park.

Total of 4 coming, should arrive sometime around 1400 on Friday, possibly earlier.

Would like to hunt Friday evening and the throw back a few cold ones and listen to some lies from LOSTHAWG, if his squaw will let him out to play ?

Hopefully the weather will start getting a little nicer by then!!

Should be a lot of fun!!!! Remember that where we are probably going there WILL be scratches on your trucks!! I'm sure we can make enough room in my Bronco and Tracy's truck to get everyone back there that are bringing cars or shiny trucks...      :campfire:    :archer:

I'll be in a rental truck, so save room for me.

My wife hydroplaned and took my 2005 Toyota Tundra thru a barbwire fence, no one was hurt but my truck is getting a bumper to bumper paint job.

Have we established a meeting time/place for Sat morning ?

Oh Boy!! You've opened up a can o'worms now Mike!!!  :smileystooges:    :bigsmyl:

We'll make sure there is plenty of room for everybody!!

If the weather stays like this, we may have to go back where we went last year. The mud might be pretty bad if it doesn't warm up and dry out!!!  :help:

That's what I'm thinking Danny.  Looks like 12 mile or out past the Boy's ranch if we don't see some sun.  4WD doesn't make a lot of difference on that silt mud.

How early would y'all be willing to meet at the Lowes?  The closer to sun-up the more rabbits we'll see.  Of course with all the stomping, I have a feeling we'll have them moving some most anytime.

Now, I get off work at 2p, so if y'all head out to the lake Friday, call my cell so I can meet y'all out there.

That property map didn't turn out too well.  I'll see if I can get a full sized one in its place.

Hopefully MIKE one day you will be "OLD" and good looking like me.

Might want to update your will and insurance policy before you leave, I've been known to fall asleep at the wheel due to numerous medical conditions I have.

Also been known to leave smart butt young guys standing in scrubrush in Tom Green County wondering how they're going to get back to East Texas ?

Mr Burke the Boa quiver I will be sending you only works for Old men.  So you may have to wait to use it for a couple weeks from what I am hearing.
