Shot a nice fat doe tonight
« on: December 30, 2008, 09:24:00 PM »
Will know Friday what she weighs but suffice it to say she is the biggest doe, if not the heaviest buck or doe I have ever shot, rifle or bow. 15 yard shot on the ground from an improvised ground blind, middle of chest. She only had one hole in her so she ran 100 yards before piling up.

Good mojo going on here: 71' Bear Kodiak Hunter 43#, my old favorite Fred Bear hunting coat from the late 60s, Fedora I bought in Sept in Jackson, WY, wool shirt bought from Eric Krewson on TradGang, BDU pants from my young bass fishing buddy in the reserves.

Since I was in a rush and loosing daylight quickly the color shots turned out too gory (deer was covered with blood and gore all over the ground) this one came out with self timer from the ground. Sorry it wasn't better. Felt good to make meat with a recurve again.
