"Hello and thank you"
« on: January 11, 2008, 06:33:00 PM »
Hello...I'm new to trad.  I just wanted to thank everyone who participates here.  I've learned a tremendous amount from all of you.  I wouldn't be where I am as a rookie if this site didn't  exist.  I'm hooked!  Thanks again!

TurkeyCreek - 60" 48# @28 (1st trad bow).

***Doug....I hope the family is healthy and doing better.  The bow is working out great for me!  Smooth and fast!!

Thanks Whittler.
I have to confess...after reading Jacob's post this morning about his Sheep hunt in BC I was blown away.  Reading that convinced me to join you guys.  What an incredible hunt and story!  Just seeing the photos of that wide open country was amazing.  I was hanging on every word.    Great hunt Jacob and you did a heck of a job documenting it and letting us experience it with you.  I have a close friend living full-time in BC.  I will definitely get out there.

Thanks guys!  Yeah, I read about Turkey Creek bows and Doug here at Tradgang.  After a lot of reading and indecision I finally made the call and got my bow.

The things that were said about Doug and his bows were right on. He's a great guy and has given me some really solid advice to get me started the right way.  I couldn't be happier with it.

Chuck and David...I appreciate the welcome!  Chuck I have some family up in Dutchess (off 22).  Nice up there!  I was there for Thanksgiving and looked for some archery shops that had trad gear but didn't find much.  Do you know of anywhere?  Thanks.
