Well he came in chasing a doe at 8:10 a.m. To be honest I shot at him while he was on his way in but went just over his back  Anyways when he pushed her again she ran beneath my stand and I was thinking " this is perfect here he comes" but he just stood there for probably half a minute. I think he was trying to catch his breath from chasing the doe. When she got off the flat we were on he started to trot out of the area to catch up to her. I drew back followed him for about ten yds and gave him the old "aaaaattt". He stopped dead in his tracks looking around not knowing where the sound came from. I aimed in, concentrated on a spot raised up a little higher and let her rip. It was a thing of beauty, he stopped behind a tree but it was covering his belly and left the boiler room open. I could see my arrow arcing to it destination due to the lighted nocks i made out of fishing bobber lights. I heard a thwack and watched him run off with a little red light stuck to him just behind his left shoulder. It was a 35 yd shot which is long but I felt very comfortable at the time. The shot ended up being a double lunger that stopped in the off side shoulder and caused him to drop within 45 yds. I was and still am so pumped for connecting with trad gear. Well I'm trying figure out how to put up a pic but so far I'm lost.
