Thanks guys, It sure felt good to be in the woods even if it was raining cats and dogs
It's been a very long summer after a accident at work May 1st. They rebuilt my shoulder in June and just recently I have been able to start shooting, working my way up from a kids bow to my youngest sons 56# recurve. Honestly I didn't think it was going to happen this year but it's funny how fast things can turn around.
If it wasn't for my Tradgang friends always giving me encouragement and helping me along it would have been alot worse.
OK, With my hunting season just starting I didn't want to miss the hunt even if it was going to rain some. I decided to sit in one of are blinds and try to stay dry, I wasn't there long and a young doe came out and feed for awhile so I took some picks and video. When the first bolt of lightning hit she ran for the woods as fast as she could go.
When the rain stopped this little female coyote came out and went over to a deer scrape and squatted right in it. As I was turning the camera on she left but I started mouth squeaking and then a big male came out and marked right on her spot. I saw movement on the right side of the blind and she walked right by and stopped five feet from the front window.
The only way I could shoot was to stand up and shoot down at her. When I stood up she heard it and turned quartering toward me a little, The shot was just a tad high but angling down taking a lung and liver she only ran thirty yards. The woodsman did a great job, She is skinned out and in the freezer.
