Man Ken, that first aerial shot was the best, most instictive shot I've ever felt. It was amazing! Must be all the practice on moving targets is paying off.
And thanks again for everything, but I really want to give a special thanks for the fedora. Been hankering for one for some time. I just know it's going to bring me a lot of mojo on the 3rd and 4th...

Those Fedora bows are built to pass down from generation to generation.  If only some of those older bows could talk of their adventures over the years.    :campfire:    :archer:

Mike,
The hat, not the bow. Ken's already given me a Brackenbury, so I don't think I would have been able to accept the fedora if it was a bow...

Well... Looks like I'm gonna make this Northern Zone Attack! Hope you young fellas are ready to drag my deer.    I'll be hunting from the ground, Asbell style using natural/mobile blinds and such. Put me in the heavy cover and my unwaxed dental floss wind string will guide me to victory!  ;)  Yea. That's it. And you thought this city boy was just a city boy. Well, He Is! Whatever...

Ya what to know something? Give me a minute. I'll come up with something yet...... Yea! Ken knows how I feel and what makes me tick when it comes to hunting. Don't ask him. Please don't ask him. Anyway.....

Looking foward to being with you guys again. Too much time between the JLMBH year to year. All you fellas need to know that I don't drink, go to bed early, snore like a chain saw, have gas attacks in the middle of the night but most of all... Want to say Thank You for the invite.

... mike ...  :campfire:  ...

Yee-haw! The woods will be running pink for sure, now!

I've got a spot for ya Mike!!!!! Kenny knows where I mean,You'll have a foot deep runway 11 yards in front of you.(you can't SEE much farther than that LOL) Nice comfortable "natural"seat on top of a HUGE boulder covered with young hemlocks.

The first year I went up I had a deer snorting and blowing right behind me and I had a flock of Turkeys fly up to roost just up the mountain from there.
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

talk about a little MOJO!! John and me were doing a little scouting today and were looking for a good place for Horatio, son and friend. well we start walking down a good looking trail and we both were saying this looks like a great spot, perfect for a couple blinds. as we were talking i glanced over and what a suprise!!     this fella looks to be a young buck with a great set of horns for a young guy. John said exactly what i was thinking, you don't get a better sign then that!!   :readit:    great area, lots of beech and heavy used trail, Horation and crew will be set up fine here. we then scouted over where my trail cam is by a big oak and beech shelf. sign was abundent there and i had 11 pic's on the camera, not all came out well but looks like another big doe with little ones.
i plan to have around 5 people cover this large section as the deer are really in there well this year. made are way over to Chucks rock and the run ways are being well used, good one going right by the rock. the big suprise was high on the ridge as there were beech and cherries ALL OVER!!   i mean they are everywhere, great place for a guy to kill a slammer! made our way up to the mediciene tree and sign was everywhere as well.   i love this stand, the view is great and very, very peacefull. it is a huge beech that has a big hole you can see through in the base. there is a steep rock ledge behing it and just under it as it is on a shelf, awesome spot. have you noticed how big the beech nuts are this year!   as saw a slug the size of a grape fruit! finshed out the day by scouting the shelf where i want to put Jim and Joe, good sign there as well, set my trail cam up and will check it next week. it looks very promising, all conditions are right for a great hunt, i can't wait!!!
