G'day lads,
I was blessed with the taking of this chap this morning, having stalked to ten metres of where he slept amongst the eucalypt suckers on the edge of a swamp. As he heard the cornflakes crunch, he slowly got up to have a look around, and when he turned side-on, I fed the arrow to him. The arrow was a pass-through, and he made about twenty yards before crashing.
He happens to be my second-best boar ever, and I am stoked with him. The bow was my 80lb @ 28" Schafer Silvertip that I got a few months ago. The arrow was 775 grains of Douglas fir and STOS broadhead.
Once again, my sincere thanks go to Dave Windauer for making this wonderful bow; to TradGanger Joe for making the best arrows in the world; to Doug from Surewood Shafts for finding straight, stiff and heavy shafts for Joe to turn into arrows for me; and to Todd, for making a broadhead that even I can sharpen, and that is indeed slicker than owl manure!
Good hunting and shooting all, especially now that deer season and elk season are either underway or getting closer,
Ben
