BigRon, joebuck said, Biggie planted a Redwood tree on his property where he liked to hunt. It must have gotten big enough for him to use.

Bigron, I never blinked until he got behind that little brushpile. I had the Sitka Gear on and a facemask.

I gotta admit, these turkeys around here aren't nearly as difficult as those darn osceolas that Marty has.

Congrats Biggie!  Thats a beauty.  I am really jealous.  We still have 2 feet of snow and no turkey hunting for a month.

Congrats on your bird.  Your hunt turned out better than mine yesterday.  Leaving in the morning for a week of camping out and turkey chasing.

Squirrel bait, You are correct! That's exactly what my son Michael said today when he called from somewhere in the Middle East! He is a Marine with the 11th Meu on the USS Tarawa. He has known Uncle Biggie since childhood and had a little trouble with the no-blind story. In fact he thinks that the only thing blind was the gobbler!

Way to go Wayne, but no Swamp Rooter?? If I had a Swamp Rooter, I'd be usin it!!

Just got in Biggie. Congrats on a fine bird. You want tough come hunt these NF land birds. Had a jake within forty yards but not nearly close enough for me. 1st day of season and they already hushing up when they hear a cackle. I just cluck and yelp a little. To many people out right now.I usually don't hunt them till the Masters weekend but I couldn't help myself. I have'm to myself then.
