Here it is guys and gals, the official thread that I know a lot of you have been waiting for. This year the hunt will be held held Feb. 16th.+17th. We are trying something new this year, where we as a group invite a special guest, which was my pick this year. Over the following years we will vote who is invited. I ran this past quite a few people and eevryone has agreed to help get this person here and put them up for a couple nights to enjoy their company and participate in our hunt. This year we are proud to have Killdeer coming out of Fibber Mcgee's closest to join the gang!! For those of you who are not familar with this hunt, we put it on to help rasie funds for the St. Judes Childrens Hospital and to kill a bunch of bunnies. We start the day at 7am. with a light breakfast and our fun shoot in the yard. We than hunt from around 11-12am until dark. After that it is back to the house for food and the famous raffle!! Thios year we will be giving away several bows, knives and arrows by some of the best people and craftsman on earth. As always ya can stay at Dads or get a local room. I wll post a list of food and drink needed and all the other stuff that goes into this. If ya have a target bring it. we again will have the arrow munching steel(you are required to shoot this or ya cannot hunt!)
, we wil also have the bunny thrower and once again I want to do some aeriels. I hope David will do the food list again and keep track of stuff. I already have people donating all sorts of stuff for the Auction. I have two bows and some arrows and JC is donating feathers and Sticshooter and shell will have something for us as well as Hap who makes gorgeous arrows and many, many more. I want us to try and raise $3000 this year for the kids. Not bad for fly by the seat of my pants idea 5 years ago, huh!! That first year we had a one day hujnt and 19 people showed. We had over 35 shots and got 2 rabbits and raised $300 without trying. Flash for ward to last year 07', we had 44 guys and a gal(Mo) and we killed 16 bunnies and had over a 150 shots. This thibng has grown to become more than a hunt but an event that brings us all together. I will be on with directions and more details in the following days!! I cannot wait to see you all again. We have lots of bunnies this year as well, as Damon, Jamie and I went yesterday for a bout two hours and saw over 30 bunnies. This is gonna be good. I will leave this up to all of us regulars to answer questions forthe new guys and gal. This year we will have at least two ladies!!
