Just catching up, we have some more stuff for the table and Lemme's a local archery shop is gonna donate more stuff. He already hooked me up with nocks, feathers and points and such for arrows I am making for the table and fun shoot. Sonny and Elma Fudd this year and maybe, just maybe Ben, I thought he would be dead by this year but he is still going strong at 17, deaf as a post but still has a good nose and may just have to come one last time. Kathy, I will purchase yor tickets friday and I believe you will just have to pick them up at the airport but will know more when I speak to Southwest. It is a month away!! I am going to Wally World, my bud said they have some of there hunting stuff like 95% off, T-shirts for a dime and Woolrich shirts that are $25 normally for $2, so I will spend a bit of cash there. I also went out and bought a new orange hunting vest, I hate to wear my good ones when doing this and this one was $25 for $9, it will look better than my saftey vest from last year(see avatar). I hate that, gonna get a new one this year!! Things are shaping up nicely!! David, ya got an update on food? I want to make sure we have enough, remember it is always wise to bring water or gator-ade as we get people cramping up quite a bit!! Guys and Gals, I went after work today. It was unbelieveable. I saw 22 bunnies and got nine shots. I killed one and hit another. The guys who have hunted before know the field down along the creek by the rabbit valley, it is kin of circular and lined with wild rose. I saw 9 rabbits in there alone and that is where it happened. I jumped a pile and the bunny ran across the open field and stopped. Here was my chance, i started sneaking up on him but he ran again down the edge and stopped at about 45 yards. I had an arrow Haratio from this site had given me on tn estring and let her fly. halfway there it looked good and tyhunk, perfect just behind the right shoulder and it came out his left eye. Two kicks and he was done!!! I took some pics. with my phone and will send them to Damon and see if he can post them. Lots of sign as well in pieces I did not really hunt, just scouted a bit. Joe, very cool!! Did ya get a discount rate? David, it was just one of those days. We had snow on the way and it was getting cold fast and it was very overcast. I did not even get into the jungle just hunted the edges of the rabbit valley, the squirrel woods and the hedgerows dividing the two pieces and the ladder stand. I would of done better if I stopped taking those fast running shots, as once I did the bunnies would blast out and than stop a short ways away. I put on right through ones front shoulder and it managed to go about 100 yards and make it into the drainage at the point in the Rabbit valley. I dare say if I had 4-5 more guys with me we would of got 5-6 bunnies. Chuck, do not worry about them, we need the snow and the more the better, if ya want to kill bunnies!! Mikey, I will call ya tomorrow n the cell, I am gonna bring Dad and kind of putter around and shoot some of your targets as Dad is just getting his footing. If you guys would start posting about how nice it will be to see him and ya cannot wait to get him out there on a push or two, it would do him a world of good as he reads a lot of these posts!!
