hey shawn, just wanted to say i had a great time at the techno hunt. man being around all that trad stuff could sure get me in trouble with the wife!!   :help:

i have a couple of questions for ya. i know that i have to bring something for the raffle, but im not sure what your lookin fer. price range, that sort of stuff, does it have to be new stuff?

also, i was just shootin the gold tip 35-55 arras that i got from ya. i stripped the feathers off one, and shot it about 10 feet from the target. it hits where i want it to, but the nock is about 6" right. im pretty sure that means that the arrow is to stiff, and i should add weight to the front.
my question is if order 100 grain brass inserts, do you think thats to much? ( i just dont know if i need to add a little or alot of weight.)

thanks yall!!!!

I just gotta say it.  Mikey you gotta be a heck of a fella for everyone to give you so much grief!   Even a little from me!  Wish I could be there this year to meet you all.

Kingstaken - don't worry about upsettin me.  The only person who can really do that is married to me and we have agreed that there is no divorce only pistols at 10 paces.

Good Luck with the Bunnies!  I will be waiting to hear the details!

Look guys, the pistols at 10 paces thing with Mrs. Stickman is a little misleading.  I expect to hear the pistol blast behind me about the time I hit "three."  As such, I just practice: "Yes, dear; I'm sorry; No problem;" ect. on my way to and from work.  Seems to have worked so far...  :scared:    :scared:

Ah, the perfect marriage, blessed and bound to last forever! When both spouses are armed, there exists a higher degree of decorum and civility in the familial interactions. My favorite peacemaker is a Ruger Bisley in .45 Colt.  :)

I certainly wish that it were possible for me to meet this woman with whom I have so much in common. We could share reloading recipes!

You lucky!
I had to move out of the house before I could buy a BB gun. I apprenticed (i.e. did grunt work)for a year or so, but am not gifted in the field.
Too much like math.
I have a high regard for math, with its black-and-white, right-or-wrong exactitude, I find it reassuring. But I enjoy the freehand sweep of a reverse curve more than mapping out its baroque parabolas. I am now a part-time unpaid shop drudge for my Master Machinist friend, Jimmy the Geek. I do a good job at finding things that he has laid down, cleaning the lathe and milling machine, and squirting Kroil in significant and appropriate places. In return, he has the coldest beer in town, and performs the highest quality modifications and repairs on all my firearms requiring his help.

A true gunsmith in the family is a treasure. I am proud that Jimmy regards himself as a member of my family, and blessed that my husband doesn't find that to be threatening.

Sure you can't pry yourself loose and spend some time with this TradGang family?

Some Questions For Shawn......

Should we bring flu-flu arrows for Aerial Targets this year?

Who is gonna be the lucky guy to throw the targets?

Are we gonna do a "Distance Shot" this year?

Who goes and gets those arrows?

If I don't have "pink" arrows can I still come?

Is somebody gonna carry my bunny for me like I did for bjk last year?

... mike ...  :archer:  ...

PS....It's gonna be a looooong week. Saturday can't come fast enough.  :jumper:

I am bringing flu-flus. Better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them.

The target thrower should be short, in order to stay out of the line of fire.

Distance shooters should retrieve their own arrows.

The only bunnies I will carry will be dead ones pried away from frustrated beagles.

Mikey will be in charge of retying untied shoelaces and clearing snowballs from beagle feet.

I will be in charge of nothing in particular.  :)

Yes bring flu-flus, we will shoot down back in one of the big fields, make sure people bring some aeriel targets, the disk ya throw. Joe may have one and I have one somewhere. We have the horses now so it may be tough to do a distance shot but we can do that down back as well. We are gettin some snow right now, Chuck keep dancing and start doing the real cold dance as well, we need stuff to freeze. The house is looking pretty good, we can sleep at least 40 and more if need be!! I hunted with Hope today, sleeting nasty weather, saw two bunnies and got one running shot. Missed by inches!! It is snowing right now!! I also wanted to mention the raffle this year, so everyone does not have to write their name 60-100 times, we will do like a ragular raffle, rip the tickets stubs down the center and put one half in the box and the other hang on to, so when we draw the #, you can match it! OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Shawn
