I have heard of the Bowery Boys, but what the heck is a Bowchery Dog?

  :confused:
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Let me tell ya a little story....
Last year my 17 year old son brought his girlfriend with us to a shoot.  It was her first experience with archery.  She was noticing that a large number of dogs were traveling with their owners and many of them were Yellow Labs.
Now being niave, young and really blond, not to mention a cheerleader (nope I am not kidding) she asked my son " Are golden labs good Bowchery dogs?"  To which my son, burst out in hysterical laughter and had to pass on the story to the Mr and I.   We all had a good laugh and she was a great sport about the misnomer.  Since our family dog is a Chocolate Lab and Aussie Shepard mix - we told her that Brown Dogs make the best Bowchery dogs!

So now you know the rest of the story.....

Melissa, we would love to have ya!! This is a very special event and it get better every year. We have some snow and it is getting cold, so things look good. the quilt is beautiful as are many things people are bringing. the wind is blowing 50mph. as I write this and gusts up to 70mph, so no shooting in the yard, but maybe in the house. Gonna make some cocktails and see if I feel the Absolute Power again!!  :bigsmyl:    :biglaugh:  OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Shawn

Very windy with blowing snow here today.Ran Sonny yesterday and he and hid side kick that live's next door both had the same trouble as last week loosing track quickly.Today with it being colder may have been better but it's really windy and besides today was my grandson's baptism so hunting was out.

I decided to go easy and I am having some Margarita's. I shot before the drinking began, do not want any boo-boos to the wifes stuff in the kitchen(been there, done that!) I shot that Fedora the other night, pretty quick but too light for me(bow mass weight was nothin'). I think you will see well over 100 bows there, I have an inside track to a lot of stuff not posted thru PM's and such. The house looks as good as it is gonna get, Killdeer, Nomad88, Ishiwannabe,Cindy, dad and I will work on the yard friday. We have to get hay bales, plywood, snow fence posts, tables and chairs. I belive Kathy and I will be the gophers, so we will be busy!! I cannot wait to see everyone, we will be parking at the airport and along the main road, bo going on the lawns this year unless we get a foot of snow in a hurry. Someone will be out front to help with parking. Looking better everyday!! OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Shawn

Sorry to let ya'll down but we just can't make it as it would be out of range for us this year.

  Since the Mr. and I can't be there we are sending a special package with some last minute neccessities for the traditional bunny bustin' kind of folks.

Enjoy!
