Thanks Curt for posting for me bud,I just wish we could have got this guy for you when you were down here.We gave it a good shot and I had so much fun, Maybe next time my friend and I will be looking forward to it.
What a day of highs and lows, The rut has been slow to get going but boy they have been moving this last week.I wish Pete and Curt could have been with me this last couple of days.I would have gave anything to see them take one of the bucks I have been seeing.
I have this buck on video and some pretty good pictures to.As you will see in the pictures he has some trash, He had his g1 last week on the right side and it was split but not today.
The first deer that came buy was a little forky and I shot some video of him. Then fifteen minutes later a six point.Just when the sun came out and I was injoying the morning I heard some leaves behind me.
As I looked behind the tree I caught movement and seen this buck staring me down.Well that went on for awile and I noticed he kept sniffing the ground right were I walked and looking at me.I always spray down with vanilla and and sure enough he started tracking right to me on my trail.
He new I was there so he started to move around me and I could see only one shooting lane he was headed for. There was only a small gap to shoot through at fifteen yards and sure enough I hit a branch and it deflected mid body.
Well, Ol Guru texted me about that time and I told him what I was up to and that I was going to give him some time.Lots of time just to be safe.Thank goodness he was right were I last saw him and it worked out for the better. Thanks Curt you are a tru friend.
