Exit wound (head stopped in off leg and only half of the head actually came out the chest cavity)

   
 

Severed rib was the snap I heard and hoping it was.....
 

   
 

That's my size 10 hunting boot....never seen a deer heart even close to this size.  Note the slice the Sasquatch made....

Hold on!!!!!!!

I need to address a comment....I was not on the ground that evening when I shot that buck.

I was about 12 feet up the same tree I was standing at the night before.  I used a base of a stand that was in camp.

However, if I'd have been on the ground, the 1st shot wouldn't have deflected.     ;)


Also, I'd like to thank everyone that's posted, called, and emailed....it sure is nice when so many friends are also riding the wave with ya!!!

Great job.  Isn't it amazing that 'Ol Murphy strikes just at the wrong time on big animals?  We'd have a wall full of big bucks/elk/etc if it weren't for Murphy.  Seems extra special when you somehow get a second chance and make it count!

Awww, Tarrzzzzz... here I was using this thread as my "get outa jail" card to scrap the treestands I love but my aging body hates sittin in this year!    :knothead:    :rolleyes:

Now that you've seen his neck...you can get a better perspective on just how big his body is.....I still can't get over it!

And I can't get any work done for the phone ringing and the emails.  Too cool.  I'll have to get to work EARLY tomorrow.
