I almost didn't go hunting yesterday morning. At about 7:30am I heard something and looked behind me an saw a buck headed my way. When he got about 10 yds from the tree he picked up where I walked to the tree. I couldn't believe it as I had taken extra effort to prevent that. He turned around and gave me a quartering away shot and I thought things were beging to fall apart fast. I had to shoot behind the tree on the left side. I drew and shot and when he jumped up in the air and kicked his hind legs out I knew he was mine. There was no need to follow the blood trail as I saw him fall about 40 yards away and about 10 yard from where the 7 pointer I shot week before last fell.
