NH Moose...last day...last hour
« on: October 29, 2007, 03:03:00 PM »
Was stalking another cow moose, in my stocking feet, in a bog, last hour of the last day of the NH moose hunt, when this cow walked between us. A 20 yard shot with my 60# DAS recurve, a 29" Beman 340 with 100 grain brass inserts and a 125 Razorcap took a rib, heart and lungs. She ran 20 yards and fell over like she hit a brick wall. Could say more but I am sooooo tired...killing a moose is not as hard as getting it out of the woods...even close to home. I really love that DAS recurve....best damned hunting bow I have shot in 56 years of doing this.
