This past week Tom "TP" Parsons and John Tribett flew in from Maryland to hunt with John Hurt and I in South Texas on a Javalina hunt.

Had a blast. Seen tons of javies and RATTLESNAKES. Loads of shot opportunities and some good stories.

Right off the bat, "TP" nailed a 5'6" rattlesnake. (That man is a hellava shot with a longbow, right or left handed)

John Hurt drilled a pretty good rattlesnake also. The rattlesnakes makes me nervous, so I prolly couldn't hit one if I tried. LOL!

I shot a 40# javalina on Saturday. I used a 60", 58# @ 29" Thunder Stick MOAB with a 620 grain CX Heritage and Simmons 2 blade Tiger Shark.

"TP", of course, used a Kimsha Mattawoman II he built.

John Hurt used a BW PLX.

John Tribett used a nice Kimsha 3 piece longbow.

I'm not good at telling stories, so enjoy the pictures.       ...Mike

Well,
This past week was one of the best times I've ever had. I feel extremly privelaged to be able to call Lucky Man my friend. He and his family are unbeleiveable. We had an action packed week. We went to the Rhinehart 100 shoot, then hunted close by LM's home for hogs, then traveled down to south Texas for javis. We ate great (manditory when hunting with lucky man), met some great people. The ranch we javi hunted was CRAZY, javis and snakes everwhere, everyone had oppertunities,  quote from Raw Hide "its like squirrel hunting, if this stalk does'nt work out just go find another".
I can't wait for next year.

Raw Hide,
I'm still trying to figure out how to post pics, I'll try some more this evening after work.
Ha ha, look at that pic of TP. his fly is open again, hahaaaa!
I'm sure Lucky mans got some good pics but he's probably busy cleaning and organising all his camping gear.
I sure hope he keeps that fine waterproof tent around for next year, I dont think TP would want it any other way he he.

Oh Man! LOL! I didn't even notice "TP"'s fly was open. Oh well, I'll keep it on here, unless he wants me to take it off here. LOL!!

jct, I think LUCKY MAN has been sleeping, day and night, since we got back.

Thanks Guru.

I'm awake boys, been busy getting all the camping gear squared away, truck washed and doing loads of homework I'm behind on.

Absolutely the BEST hunting trip I've ever been on, lots of game, good friends, plenty of beer and some good country cooking.

Plan on doing it again next SPRING BREAK but fly in a day early so we can hang out at the RHINEHART 100 all day and get a jump on the hogs at ALAZAN.

May even have time to drop by the TESTICLE FESTIVAL and have a ball !

I saw TP unzip his fly when he saw that 260# boar in the cooler, I also noticed a bottle of VIAGRA setting by his bed in camp, maybe that's why RAWHIDE was sleeping on the couch ?

I'm tuning up my SIMMONS TREESHARKS as we speak, figure them on a 5/16 ramin shaft weighing in at 650 grains or so will do the job.  Will do plenty of practice at 50 yards for next trip.  Those javies we hunted ride the long bus !

Will post pictures in a couple days and try to get copies for everyone soon.

Is it MARCH 2008 yet ?

After the past couple days being back home and back to work dealing with the idiots that seem to be taking over up here I'm ready to move down there right now.
Gonna be a long year waiting for March 2008.

I'm sure we can find you a nice 1200 sq ft bachelors pad down here for 50K or so, if you want a couple acres we'll probably need to add another 6K or so.

I'll be mailing TP's arrows in the morning along with your fanny pack and rain jacket.

We got lots of pretty girls down here to and hog hunting year round, did I mention NO STATE TAX !

Okay, Okay, I'll quit rubbing it in.
