G2-Sweaters-ARE BACK
« on: March 23, 2007, 10:56:00 PM »
Just rolled into the Farm bout an hr ago, got Walt loaded and on his way. It was to say the least INCREADABLE and a very successful hunt.

There were a few of us that were able to draw blood. For that info my friends you must bear with us for a bit until we unpack and start the photo down loading. Should not be more than a couple a days........Night,Night

Well, I just got home to cold, damp old England after what I can only describe as the BEST week of my life! I have never met such a nice, friendly bunch of guys. I think I had more fun, just sittin' round listening to Vance & Charlie, Bee Ess ing each other & visiting with the guys than I did hunting!  :D  The afternoon sat around the picnic table & the impromptu tennis ball shoot, will stay with me as a great memory forever more. I can't begin to describe how greatful I am to have met all o' y'all & be able to call you all friends. Only 360-some days til TXS'08 & it can't come quick enough!

I'd just like to say a huge thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome & at home & I'm going to miss you all until we get to meet up again!

I recon we played with em long enough.

Walt and I headed out a couple days ahead of the rest. Mainly so that we might be at the head of the CHOW line and get first shot at the Sleeping on Air beds that Terry and Tipit were reported to be using at the main camp.

The first encounter on the way down was to be This

Things really started looking up the further south we traveled.

We were really wanting to get into Del Rio early enough on Thursday mornin to catch up G1 as they headed to the airport. Well as LUCK would have it we made it there Wednesday evening, with only one slight 2 hr Navigational problem in Roswell NM. Walt claimed a compass error, I distinctly recall hearin him say something about taking Gary an Alien to play with. Hope he pops in to clear that whole thing up, when I came to we were in Del Rio. Dinner was Tex-Mex, I had NO IDEA how hard ya have to hunt for a Steak after ya get south of Denver.

Thursday mornin we were up at the crack of 9:30 waitin fer the phone call as to where we would meet up. JC decided to call me as I was callin him so we left each other messages to call back. How weird that was. The end results as you can see, Was the best way to start any hunt. This photo will be forefront of my 2007 hunt album forever THANKS SO MUCH BROTHERS for being part of that moment

I had taken a few odds and ends of horn down for the knife makers ta pick through, so for most of the time we got to spend together it was amidst Doc's growlin and slashin, barkin and bitin keepin everyone away from his chosen bones.

I need some Sweet Tea and Javie salad be back later

Good to see you sifting through some pics Bro! I finally got all the gear unloaded and the freezers drug out of the back of the truck. Time to sit and relax awhile. I'll sift through some pics very soon myself. Keep postin those pics! Especially that scary looking fella from the UK.  :scared:   He was a blast to watch and even more fun to try and understand! He was starting to speak English by the end of the hunt though.  :biglaugh:   CK
