Well, their air powered arrow guns have been out since 1989 and they have not taken off. I doubt this version will either.

Of course I can't understand the appeal of in-line muzzleloaders either and look how popular they are now.

Don't see states making them legal. But I can see folks using them to cheat to fill archery tags.

I did not see that they shoot anything but field points. I can't imagine a broadhead---however, what's the difference in these and crossbows (with the respectful exception of handicap sportsman)?

The use of gunpowder and real high speeds. This line says a lot.

"The recommendation of using blank firing rimfire rifles to fire arrows for big game is new. And they launch them at faster speeds than even the most sophisticated bows built today, yet with far more accuracy than the average archer could ever hope to achieve."

Just buy a tag, no work on your part needed. If you want to use a rifle, then use a rifle. They already have seasons for that.

Well; IMHO the industries have been trying to re-invent the rifle for decades.
Truth of it is I have seen .410 shotguns used this way. The shot removed; and the wads left; the arrow was put into a break open gun ; then the shotgun shell; and then the arrow seated into the wad- then the broadhead was screwed on.
It was with a string tracker a perfect poachers gun; as the poacher would toss the string tracker down and come back to follow the trail after he was sure that the law had not been called.
Most modern bowhunters are already used to saying " I love bowhunting; I can't wait to pull the trigger again on a whitetail..." so this is not the leap in logic the old air powered arrow guns were...just more shortcuts and less effort.

You've all heard of this season, it's called "modern firearm". Just changed the projectile (how crazy is this?) That's a lot money to pay for an admission of inability!

I  think  it  is a  fascinating  weapon,  as  far  as  using  it  for  game-as  long  as we are  managing game,  does  it really  matter  what  weapon  a  person  uses; it  doesn't  appear  to  be  more functional  than a  rifle,  but  better  than a  bow  (for the  average  bear); just another  interesting weapon,  as  long as bowhunters  get  their  season:0    s unaj

Just because someone would have this product doesn't mean that they are going to break the law by having it, I could see people using this for fun.
